WELCOME Meeting was opened at 7.08pm by President PRESENT APOLOGIES Irad Dickerson, Sue Dickerson, Norm Pearson, Ron Freestone, John Edgecombe, Rob Longmire and Chris Boam Dennis and Ann Jones 2. MINUTES OF THE LAST BOARD MEETING Accepted Moved Ron Freestone Seconded Sue Dickerson No Matters arising 3.1 INCOMING CORRESPONDENCE a) Lions Australia 201W1 newsletter Convention Forms 1 and 2 to be returned by 30 September this is the Delegate Form and Memorial Form Ron Freestone said he may attend so will put his name on the form registrations close 3 October b) Letter from Lions Australia PDG John D W Muller OAM re Membership Retention and Growth Campaign Club health check questionnaire to be completed and returned by 30 September Cab Sec sent re same Rad and Chris to complete questionnaire c) WA Lions Hall of Fame Dinner reminder this is a cost of $ per person file d) DG Ivan Sturgess newsletter he will be at our October social reminder to members to be present if possible e) Letters to Santa the club has not done this in the past file f) Patrick Australia invoice for badge see Treasurers report to be paid g) Street Trading Licence for the 4 upcoming swap meets to be laminated and displayed at each h) Lions Cancer Institute AGM Monday 29 September public holiday

After general discussion it was decided that we could use some tablecloths in the Christmas colours Rob Longmire suggested that Pauline and her mother Una could go and have a look at material and purchase if appropriate 4.2 No outstanding cheques

MINTS REPORT Ron Freestone advised numbers down growing trend Australia wide figures show outlets visited and not total outlets peppermint musk and spearmint are on backorder Average Sales per outlet August (same month last year) $24.54 Outlets 59 Sales $ Average Sales per outlet (this month) $24.08 Outlets 56 Sales $ Total kms 271 Total hours PRESIDENTS REPORT a) Train at Balga last Saturday 6 September slippery due to rain however carriages full and well accepted Rad, Ron, Neil and Doreen attended 1.5 hours $300 b) Swap Meet signs for October event now out c) Ellenbrook Primary School Guinness Book of Record Attempt for Look Like a Tree" was won over Poland with a recorded 766 children Rad, Sue, Ron, Bob Schwind, John Pritchard, and Doreen Rees attending 1.5 hours 8. ANY OTHER BUSINESS a) Rad will be asking for a committee for Carols to be headed by him Chris reported that the lighting towers we have requested will have to be insured by us Norm will check out insurance with Bob Korotcoff b) Cakes and puddings to be ordered Allen Lowe has posted pay card for Norm to produce with cheque at the Post office when making payments c) Fence at 28 Santona Rad believed along with all of us this had been dealt with however it was brought up again when the owner sent Ron an Rad will make contact with the owner and advise this is just not possible

UPCOMING EVENTS a) Seniors Dinner meeting at Chris Boams on Monday 8 September Sue, Norm and Joan, Jacqui and Karen and Doreen attended decided after discussion we serve a better meal so we would self cater again this means hire of crockery and cutlery Sue will give report at Business meeting Norm visited Party Emporium in Woodlake they were most receptive and have offered a price of $ for the hire of dinner plates, knives, forks, balloons and napkins (this was a discounted price offered to us) agreed to go with them and Norm will pay deposit of $60.00 this week b) Train - Saturday 13 September Salvos Markets Ellenbrook - Ron will drive down from his house on Saturday with Neil Rodgers assisting others on day Norm, and Doreen 10am-2pm c) Train - Sunday 5 October Gosnells Oval for Arab Assoc Rob Longmire, Ron, Rad and Jacqui attending d) Train - Saturday 11 October - Toodyay Show Rad, Norm, Doreen, Tony and Darren to attend - Rad will take train across to Northam for the next day at the end of the show e) Saturday 11 October Ron Freestone to attend Woodlake Amphitheatre for memorial and take cakes f) Train - Sunday 12 October Northam Rob Longmire Ron Freestone and Neil Rodgers attending g) Sunday 19 October Swap meet everyone will be needed Norm will organize bbq etc. - Rad will organize parking, fencing etc. as Chris and Peter will be in NSW There being no other business meeting closed at 8.22pm
