1 9 August 2018 Issue 104 POP UP NEWS Mapleton, Queensland New this Week MOUNTAIN SESSIONS SUNDAY AUGUST 12 TH 2 PM TO 6 PM at Mapleton Bowls Club. FEATURING MARK OWEN Mark is local musician based in Mapleton. His musical career has spanned from Hard Rock and Blues in the 1980 s before moving to the Sunshine Coast and became a regular Solo artist and member of several Cover line ups on locally. Today he performs an eclectic set of acoustic music containing original material new and from over the years and some interesting reworks of some of his favourite covers. An entertainer at heart and in person. ALISHA TODD Alisha hails from small town Gympie, raised on country and rock and has recently returned from a long European hiatus with lots to share. With a new profound affection for jazz fusion and the rhythms encountered in late night street ciphers and D Angelo records, Alisha extends her bubble of happiness with everyone she plays to through her wandering melodies and old soul delivery. ALISHA WILL BE JOINED BY PERFORMER LEE HARDISTY Lee Hardisty brings a plethora of instruments; flute, saxes, guitar, kalimbas, keys and vocals to the stage live looping a mix of your favourite covers and his own original music. Sometimes flamencoesk sometimes dub and sometimes just pure dancing joy. Photo Caption
