PC EMS handed out many items anci answered que_s.tions fro_n: the imbl1c~ - :) New Business The 911 Cons~iidation Feasibn{ty Studyw'as discussed. A meeting is to be held on October 1 ih. We have been askedto send 2 representatives from each department if possible. Tod and Kris will attend from PC EMS, Discussion about holding F~-Pierce County Education Session was held. Dan will contact some physician speakers about presenting and Kris will contact LifeQuest for possible sponsorship. Gary will secure the Seifert building at the fairgrounds. The first date of choice would be Saturday Feb 22nd from Second choice would be Feb gth. Dan gave state EMS updates from the quarterly meeting held the week previous to this meeting. Items discussed included: Intranasal Narcan administration added to the BLS scope of practice. Access to central lines in cases other than cardiac arrest Statewide active shooter plan EMS services renewal will need to submit three response updates pertaining to driving EMSC has available funds towards the purchase of pediatric equipment

2 ~ g e _L~- Open Discussion Rick passed on to the committee that Sandy Ustis will be retiring from CVTC at the end of2013. MABIS is moving forward for Pierce County with a beta test completed by Ellsworth Fire Department. Watch for updates. A protocol for Fire rehab was discussed. It was agreed that we would review other systems and possibly author one for the county services in the interest of consistency. 3 ~-~-~!_1!_ Pierce County EMS Committee Meeting Minutes Thursday June 13, 2013 Members Present: JeffRixman (RF EMS), Tod Jorgenson (SV AA), Dan Morth (Regions EMS), Gary Brown (PCEM), Tim Hanson (MRPCS), EMS Chairman Kris Herold (EAAS) Meeting called to order at 1908 by Chairman Kris Herold Agenda approved by Dan and 2nd by Tim April2013 minutes approved by Tim and 2nd by Jeff Treasures report by Gary - $800 in account. This is an annual amount provided as a line item in the county budget. No reports of spending for Generally used for providing county EMS education and supplies and/or handouts given at events such as the county fair. Report approved by Dan, 2nd by Tod. ( Old Business Jeff will send log sheet for helicopter transports to Kris Gary reported the radio grant is moving forward with the testing phase in progress. A group of people were in Schaumburg. Simulcast to all towers should be running in August. New Business There was some lengthy discussion about summer events within the county. To promote better situational awareness it was suggested a master list of events be created and distributed. Kris will work on and get out to everyone on the committee. Dan has agreed to research a county EMS education session for 3 hours in October. The committee agrees that trauma (specifically tourniquet use), cardiac, and documentation would be the topics. October 5th or 19th would be possible dates depending on speaker's schedules. Gary can reserve the building at the fairgrounds for the event. Jeff reported that CVTC will be holding an EMT class starting Sept 5th held on Mondays and Thursdays. EMT-Advanced is still on hold waiting for a curriculum from the state. County fair will be held August The fair booth will be housing RF EMS on Friday ( ), SVA Sunday ( ). No commitment from MRPC. Contact Kris if your service is willing to staff any other open dates and/or hours. Dan made a motion and 2nd by Tim to have

4 -~~~ ~ ~.. Kris inventory the fair items (housed at EAAS) to be handed out and purchase more if needed. Kris will work with Gary on cost staying within the budget. Open Discussion Jeff asked if anyone knew the status of a proposed dispatch project between Pierce and St. Croix County for combined dispatch services. Gary stated that research was being investigated. If any issues come before either county finance boards or the county boards they would be open to the public for further information. A motion was made by Gary and 2nd by Dan to move this meeting to a quarterly schedule starting Jan Jan, April, July, Oct. would be the new months would still have meetings every other month but cancel December. The next scheduled meeting is the night offair set-up on Wednesday 8/7/13 at the fairgrounds. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting by Tim and 2nd by Dan. Meeting adjourned at 2019.

5 Pierce County EMS Committee Ellsworth, WI April 11th, 2013 Members Present: Tod Jorgenson (SVM), Dan Morth (Regions EMS), Kris Herold (EMS), Rick Merryfield (CVTC) Tim Hanson (MRPCS) EMS Chairman Mel Jorgenson (SVAA) Meeting called to 19:11 by Chairman Mel Jorgenson No Financial Report Minutes Approved by Tim and 2"d by Kris. Old Business: No Air Transport Drafts Radio Grant is being signed and will proceed. Any support for countywide education- possibly September New Business: Mabas for St. Croix County is moving forward, Pierce County is starting to try to get support. CVTC has a class starting in August 2013 Regions Hospital EMS currently has a class in Plum City- Going well. Quarterly Meeting- Tabled Next Meeting Scheduled for June 13th, 2013, 7pm. Elections: Chairperson: Kris Herold- Nominated by Tod, seconded by Tim. Vice- Chairperson: Tod Jorgenson- Nominated by Dan, seconded by Kris. Treasurer: Gary Brown- Nominated by Tim, seconded by Dan Nominations Closed, Votes for nominees unanimous. Meeting Adjourned at 19:50.

6 \ \ Pierce County EMS Committee Meeting Minutes Thursday, February 14th, 2013 Members present were: Jeff Rixman RFAA, Tad Jorgenson SVAA, Dan Marth EAAS, Rick Merryfield CVTC, Gary Brown PCEG, Chairman Mel Jorgenson SVAA. Meeting was called to order at 19:08pm. Minutes from Decembers meeting were read and approved by Dan, seconded by To d. Treasurers report was given $800 dollars, Dan approved and seconded by Tad. Old Business Air Transport Draft is to be sent by Jeff. Radio grant updated= 1.2million Gary purchased pencils with the remaining 2012 Budget. Holly sent a educational on the Amish to help clear up any possible questions. Thank You Holly! New Business Looking to see if we could set up a Education Night for all EMS with Budgetted monies. Ellsworth Ambulance Director Chris Herold will start March 11th. No EMT class set for CVTC at this time. Regions will have an EMT class starting in March in Plum City. WITC Conference is being held in March at the Rice Lake Campus.

7 River Falls is working on a county -wide Bus Accident Drill Bruce Frebringer is contact for commodity flow grant. Mabas in Pierce County was discussed. Gary brought up having a Quarterly meeting vs. every other month? Next Meeting will be held on April 11th, with Elections to take place.
