1 Denmark Township Board of Trustee s Regular Township Meeting Minutes July 30, 2012 Present: Supervisor: Don Petro Clerk: Charles Heinlein Trustee: Wayne Bierlein Trustee: Myron Ortner Absent: Cora Schaeff The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Petro at 6:00 pm with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Supervisor Petro welcomed the many residents and guests in attendance at the meeting. Ninety-six people registered upon arriving for the Denmark Township Regular Meeting. Due to the large interest in the meeting and the amount of residents and guests attending the meeting, Supervisor Petro recessed the meeting to reconvene at the Richville Alvin Miller Post 400 Legion Hall. Supervisor Petro reconvened the meeting at the Richville Legion Hall at 6:20 pm Roll Call Supervisor Petro asked the Clerk for a roll call of members present: Supervisor: Don Petro present Clerk: Charles Heinlein present Treasurer: Cora Schaeff absent Trustee: Wayne Bierlein present Trustee: Myron Ortner present Regular Meeting Agenda July 30, 2012 Several items were added to the Agenda by Supervisor Petro and Clerk Heinlein. Motion by Bierlein and supported by Ortner to approve the meeting agenda with additions for the July 30, 2012 regular Township Meeting. MC Supervisor Petro introduced Amanda Roggenbuck who requested to address the Denmark Township/Tuscola County residents. Amanda is a candidate for Tuscola County Probate Court Judge. Supervisor Petro introduced Matt Bierlein who requested to address the Denmark Township/Tuscola County residents. Matt is a candidate for Tuscola County Commissioner for District Old Water District Clerk Heinlein continues to address concerns involved with the 1997 Richville Water District Proposed New Water District The Township continues discussions on the project. MC Fund Transfer of $2, from the General Fund contingency to support the following account this month: Proposed Water District $2, Motion by Bierlein and supported by Ortner to approve the Fund Transfer. MC Banking Summary Report dated May and June Motion by Bierlein and supported by Ortner to approve the banking Summary Reports for May and June MC Denmark Township Planning Commission Meeting held July 10, 2012 o Forty-two residents and guests were in attendance. Medical Marihuana Ordinance o Explained by Wayne Bierlein o Motion by Heinlein and supported by Bierlein to introduce Medical Marihuana Ordinance No MC o Copies available to residents upon request to the Township Clerk. R-1 District Lot Size Requirement o Explained by Wayne Bierlein o Motion by Bierlein and supported by Ortner to require minimum lot size of 1 acre (43,560 square feet) for the R-1 District. Denmark Township Police Millage Discussion on a millage proposal for Denmark Township to be placed on the November General Election Ballot on November 6, Motion by Petro and supported by Bierlein to place a millage proposal of one mill for five years in support of Denmark Township Police to be placed on the November 6, 2012 General Election Ballot. MC Michigan Department of Transportation Discussion held on the addition of a new No Passing Zone on M-81 at the intersection of Bradford Road.
