3 Dear Distinguished Stakeholders of the Poultry Meat Industry and Friends, It is with a great pleasure that we invite you, on behalf of Turkish Poultry Meat Producers and Breeders Association (BESD-BİR), to join us to the 5th International Poultry Meat Congress which will take place at the Convention Center of Starlight Resort Otel in Antalya between 24 and 28 April After the success of previous 4 congress in Antalya, BESD-BIR organising committee were delighted to announce that the 5 th Congress would take place in Antalya which is one of the most beautiful city in the Mediterranean Region. The total participant for the last congress was over people from 30 different countries around the world. The Congress will attract a wide range of delegates including both poultry research scientists and practitioners. Also will include leading speakers from across the world. It is expected that the quantity of participants will be in excess of participants joining together to explore the past, share the present and helping to forge the future of poultry meat science. As a brief information, Turkish poultry meat industry grew up around 115% in a very short period during in last 10 years from 1.1 million tons poultry meat to million tons in This huge growth made an incredible increase in our export by 751% from 51 thousand tons to around 443 thousand tons in that short period. It is clear that Turkish Poultry Meat industry makes valuable contribution to supply healthy, enough and stable foods for humans, not just live in Turkey, but also live in other foreign countries. This is an excellent opportunity, for businesses in the industry to engage with professionals in the poultry science research field and approach their target market. We very much look forward to welcoming you in Antalya in April 2019 to create more benefits for humanity by sharing and discussing techonologies, informations and innovations. Registration can not be used by dividing the package. The registration package is valid for the sole participant. It is not transferable and cannot be used alternately. Poster presentations will be posted on the day announced in the congress programme in the poster area near to meeting room. CONGRESS LANGUAGE Presentations can be made in Turkish or English. Simultaneous translation in both languages will be available in all meeting rooms. CONGRESS PROCEEDINGS The congress proceedings including all full texts of oral and poster presentations will be delivered to all registered participants after the congress as hard copy. No advertisements

6 will be given for the congress book other than the sponsors. All collected photos taken during the congress will be send to participants with a USB Media. The scientific committee will build up some part of the congress program on submitted manuscripts as short oral presentation other than keynote speakers. The time allotted for short oral presentations, will be minutes. The submitted manuscripts will be evaluated by the scientific committee for short oral and poster presentations.

7 Manuscripts deemed as unsuitable for the purposes of the congress by the scientific committee, will not be returned. However, their authors will be notified of the result. The presenting author, assumes full responsibility of the content and must ensure that all coauthors are aware of the contents before submission. Unless one of the authors does not make full registration before 1 April 2019, the manuscript will not be placed on the final program and withdrawn from the proceedings. Address and Deadline for Submission of Fulltext The deadline for manuscript submission is 31 December Submissions received after this date and delays in the mail will not be taken into consideration. Manuscripts need to be mailed directly to ceylan@beyazetkongresi.com Applications made to other addresses will not be taken into consideration. Evaluation of manuscripts will be completed and announced before 15 February Guidelines for Manuscript Submissions The following guidelines should be adhered in writing the manuscript: 1- The file name must be created by stating surname of the author plus an abbreviated version of the manuscript s title. 2- Research based papers should include, a title, abstract, introduction, materials and method, results and discussion, conclusion and references. 3- Review papers should consist of a summary, introduction, narrative, conclusion and references. 4-Manuscripts should be typed on Microsoft Word ( 7.0 or higher) using Times New Roman at single line spacing with font size 12 (bold) for headings and 10 for authors names and body text. Margins should be 4cm left, 2 cm right, 2,5 cm top and 2 cm bottom. Manuscripts should not exceed 5 pages. Keynote speakers are allowed to write up to 10 pages. 5- The initial letters of headings should be in capitals. The headings should be followed by one blank line, after authors name should be written without their titles. Presenter name must be underlined and addresses of the authors given as footnote. 6- The guidelines in the Turkish Journal of Veterinary and Animal Sciences should be followed in citing references. 7- Tables should be prepared in word using the automatic table menu. 8- Authors whose paper s selected as poster should set up their posters in the designated area before the opening ceremony and remove it after closing ceremony. It is own responsibility of the presenter to make sure that the poster is placed and removed after on time.

8 Posters should be prepared in dimensions of 70x100 cm in size (vertical) and legible at a viewing distance of 1-1,5 m.
