2 A. General Annuncements The new Directr f SRAD in Za atari camp; Clnel Nawras, was intrduced during the meeting. Clnel Nawras was previusly head f the peace keeping training centre in Jrdan. It was annunced that the Cmmn Distributin Centre fr Humanitarian Assistance utilizing Iris Scan technlgy and will be fficially launched in August. The Centre is pen free f charge t all humanitarian partners fr the prvisin f cash assistance, NFIs (nn-fd items) and supprt CFW (Cash fr Wrk) activities. The system will prvide a mre cst effective means f prviding assistance, and supprt efficiency in screening and reprting. Camp management annunced that the Electricity prject cncluded n Tuesday June 5 th. The electricity netwrk, with a ttal threshld f 8.67 Mega Watts (MW), unique within a refugee camp cntext, nw prvides nine hurs f electricity frm 7pm-4am t refugee families t supprt their daily energy needs. The investment in energy prvisin in Zaatari Camp is part f UNHCR s Glbal Strategy fr Safe Access t Fuel and Energy (SAFE) B. Security 23 June 2016, Zaatari Camp, at 02:00hrs a clash between tw grups f refugees brke ut fr unknwn reasn. Tw refugees were suffered minr injuries. Case is under investigatin. 26 June 2016, Zaatari camp, eastern gate, a clash brke ut between a refugee and a Jrdanian truck driver when he was abut t ran him ver by his truck. The refugee sustained minr injuries and filed a cmplaint at SRAD where he was requested t prvide a medical reprt, while the truck driver was suspended frm wrk by UNICEF. 27 June 2016, Zaatari camp, District 2, at 10:20hrs a fire erupted in a caravan. Reasn was unknwn. Civil Defense put ut the fire. N injuries. 1 July 2016, Zaatari camp, District 8. At 03:00hrs a fire erupted in a caravan. Civil defense put ut the fire. Reasn is unknwn, case is under investigatin. 3 July, 2016, Zaatari Camp, at 10:00hrs fllwing a clash ver persnal dispute resulting in minr injuries, Plice Camp refereed three Syrian refugees t the curt and t the district gvernr. 10 July 2016, Zaatari Camp, Eastern gate, at 11:00hrs In a slidarity with a water truck driver wh was suspended frm the wrk in the camp by UNICEF fr ne week fr making prblems with sme refugees; abut 10 truck drivers went n strike at the eastern gate demanding t allw the driver wh was suspended t resume his wrk in the camp as usual and they threatened t keep n strike until the prblem get slved. SRAD and UNICEF met with the drivers and it has been agreed with them t allw the suspended driver t resume his wrk after ne day f suspensin. At 11:30hrs the strike ended peacefully. C. Registratin 1.1 Transfers t Zataari camp: 6 individuals were transferred frm RBS t Zaatari camp 23 individuals were transferred frm Azraq camp t Zaatari camp. 3 individuals were transferred frm EJC t Zaatari camp. 7 individuals were transferred frm Amman and Irbid t Zaatari t be reunited with nuclear family members in the camp 2

Dara is the main city where refugees departed t and the main villages in Daraa were refugees intended t return t were as fllws: Nassib, Tasiil, Tafas. Living cnditin in Jrdan, including lack f incme generating activities and living csts in urban. 1.5 Dcumentatin: A ttal f 143 Syrian dcuments/89 envelpes were returned back t the refugees, dcuments were recrded n prgres. 25 cases apprached the registratin area t replace their lst ratin cards. 1.6 Registratin f new Birth: 93 babies were added t their parents cases, amng them (52) Girls and (41) Bys (Birth ntificatins were presented). Ttal camp ppulatin: A ttal f 79,282 individuals are currently residing in Zaatari camp, amng them 50% females and 50% males. D. WASH Water Delivery: Sufficient supply available frm the 3 camp brehles and the water delivery is cntinuing withut issue. Wastewater Cllectin: wastewater cllectin is prblematic and the desludging cntractr is nt remving vlume prduced per day additinal desluding trucks brught in t help remve daily wastewater vlume prduced but is still deficient refugees will see their IWWM/ZWWM tanks verflwing Wastewater treatment plant unable t accept all wastewater prduced in cam and is being transferred utside f camp. Number f utside camp referrals: 264 Others: UNHCR crdinated sending f 100 patients t Philadelphia Hspital fr ENT surgeries mstly tnsillectmy surgeries, in additin t 23 patients fr general surgeries. UNHCR prvided lists f patients and transprtatin back and frth t the hspital thrugh JHAS, while Qatar Red Crescent cvered the surgeries cst. Frtunately there were n significant emergency cases during Eid vacatin, and als n fd pinting cases were reprted. Fd WFP is supplying Za atri camp with arund MT f fresh bread n a daily basis t meet the beneficiaries needs. WFP thrugh SCI cnducted tw camp-wide distributin f dates dnated by the Kingdm f Saudi Arabia fr the Hly mnth f Ramadan. A ttal f MT were distributed in tw cycles in June, reaching 16,454 families wh came t cllect their bread cards. Leftver dates will be distributed at a later time in crdinatin with UNHCR. WFP is distributing welcme meals in Raba Al Sarhan thrugh the Internatinal Organizatin fr Migratin (IOM) t beneficiaries entering r leaving Jrdan. A ttal f 3,688 individuals received welcme meals in June. WFP als distributes welcme meals thrugh NRC t cases in the Za atri camp receptin area. In June, 99 welcme meals were prvided. 4

5 WFP thrugh Save the Children Internatinal (SCI) distributed 226 new arrival vuchers (ttal value JOD 1,130) in the camp. Fifteen cases received replacement e-cards, and anther three cases, replacement PIN cdes. A ttal f 54 new e-cards were als distributed in the camp. WFP s schl feeding prgram thrugh SCI fr the camp frmal reached a ttal f 12,032 students until the end f the schl year n 9 June. WFP s schl feeding prgram als supprts the infrmal schl thrugh NRC. In June, the highest recrded figure f students reached per day was 44. G. Prtectin UNHCR extended supprt t the Religius Curt facilities t enhance the services prvided t the family mediatin ffice under the Religius Curt. The new rm was established t serve as a visiting rm fr parents in dispute ver custdy related matters. Previusly, such visiting rm was nly available in Mafraq and psed serius challenges identified with leave permits, csts and transprtatin t parents wishing t see their children. A decrease was mstly bserved in the number f marriage cntracts issued including thse f newly issued marriage cntracts fr early marriages with nly 15 marriage cntracts issues fr early marriages ut f a ttal f 77 marriage cntracts issued in ttal. Last mnth, 74 ut f 114 cntacts were issued fr early marriage cases. All cunseling and service related activities had decrease in numbers during the mnth f Ramadan. The belw diagram shws the ccurrence f prtectin incidents r cncerns reprted t UNHCR by district. It appears that the majrity f cncerns are mentined in the highly dense districts f D11 and 1. Here, it is particular wrth highlighting that the majrity f recrded incidents f detentin and deprtatin allegatins have been reprted frm the ld districts 1 and 11 and 12. Hwever, even less dense districts with high ppulatin numbers shw incidents f prtectin cncerns including D5 hsting the largest number f refugees fr inter-camp transfers, dcuments requests and ther registratin related issues A ttal number f 198 cases/ 523 individuals were prcessed by prtectin staff at the return ffice during the mnth f June. This number presents a slight decrease in refugees returning cmpared t May with 656. Prtectin WG as mainly fcused n the ZSDF and finalized the cre gal, bjectives and activities; as part f the planning, 24 FGDs are undertaken with different grups frm the cmmunity; the FGDs fcus n the refugees perceptin f their future, gaps and challenges they face which will be further a part f the yearly PA we are undertaking. 5

6 Child Labr Task frce has been meeting befre Eid and further fllw up will be undertaken by the chairs frm Save the Children. Participatin by relevant partners is appreciated. The CLTF fllws the natinal CLTF and is mainly addressing a respnse plan n child labr in line with cre ministries, authrities in the camp and CP partners. Prtectin mnitring cntinues as per the schedule agreed in the last mnth, in Districts 4, 5, 6 and 11. Reprts are being cmpiled and shared. Prtectin mnitring activities were mre difficult due t Ramadan as refugees were less welcming t the mnitring. At the same time, staff in the field culd identify relatively higher number f the cnflicts between neighbrs in ne district ver the water distributin (that is reslved between the neighbrs by themselves), and increased demand fr the leave permits; We understand that SRAD is implementing new leave permit prcedures, it wuld be gd t receive the explanatins; PTV netwrk has been extended fr 30 persns, Prtectin rganized the meeting between new and ld PTVs, and intrductry wrkshp is under the preparatin, t be held next week. At the same time, Prtectin cntinues t wrk with the existing PTVs that keep us abreast f the prtectin and ther develpments in their respective districts H. Cmmunity Services Cmmunity gatherings: Number f cmmunity gathering cnducted during this perid: 11 Number f refugees attended the gatherings: 249 Number f PWDs attended the gatherings:10 (an average 1/gathering) The mst cmmn tpics raised and discussed during this perid: Wrk and Leave Permits, wash issues and NFI Distributin. After the presentatin in the previus CMC, a psitive impact was sensed n the number f NGOs attendees in the cmmunity gathering. The mst cmmn tpics raised and discussed during the mnth f May: Wrk and leave permits, Infrastructure wrks in the district, and Renewal f sme distributed CRI/NFI materials. I. Educatin N infrmatin shared. J. Yuth Taskfrce Circulated the YTF news letter t the members and started the discussins n the cming newsletter theme. Internatinal yuth day is n the 12th, Aug. we started the initial discussin with the members n wh t crdinate ur interventins in remarking the day. Als t lk at what exactly we will be ding as a grup and t crdinate the activities during the day. K. Basic Needs and Livelihd Wrking Grup 3W Livelihds Matrix the BNLWG has develped a 3W template fr cllecting infrmatin n nging and planned livelihds interventins bth in Zaatari and Mafraq urban. Feedback frm partners is expected by Thursday July 14 th. The cnslidated matrix aims at infrming partners abut livelihds initiatives, aviding duplicatin and prmting cmplementarity f prgrams as well as guiding fundraising effrts. Assessments the BNLWG has endrsed a qualitative assessment n remittances that will be cnducted by IOM thrugh REACH. It is estimated that a ttal f 4 FGDs will be cnducted in Za atari camp (2 male and 2 female). The assessment aims identifying themes and patterns in the nature and dynamics f remittance transfers t Syrian refugees in Jrdan. CFW the BNLWG has finalized a list f agencies CFW fcal pints, their district(s) f interventin, and CFW sectr(s). The fcal pints listed are respnsible fr dealing with CFW-related cmplaints and referrals frm case wrkers accrding t the CFW SOPs, and this list is meant t facilitate referrals. 6

7 UNHCR is awaiting feedback frm sme partners that still haven t shared their CFW spent amunt. Partners are requested t share this infrmatin ASAP t be included in the June CFW Factsheet. Wrk Permits - the Minister f Labr, Ali Al Ghzawi, has fficially annunced tday that the Gvernment extended the grace perid fr free wrk permits fr Syrians fr additinal three mnths. NFI Distributin Centre: 2927 different CRIs (Blanket, Mattresses, G. Matt, Elderly & Children Diapers, kitchen sett) given ut t 534 families including newbrns, ad-hc distributin and special cases. 370 Hygiene Vuchers CHDC (Cmmn Humanitarian Distributin Centre) Fr the past tw weeks, there was n distributin in NRC center. CHDC will start Sanitary napkins distributin this Thursday 14th f July till 25th f July cvering tw mnths. L. Site planning Cmmencement f cnstructin f 14 shading units t be used as bus stps and waiting areas arund the ring rad and thrugh IRD. A building mdule has been granted t UNHCR frm Building Peace Fundatin (Italy) t be used as an Art Gallery fr Zaatari camp displaying artwrk dne by the refugee cmmunity. The building materials are currently being shipped t Jrdan t be cnstructed in IRD cmmunity centre in district 2. M. Energy inputs: Electricity prject: (The largest electrical distributin netwrk supprting refugees) The prject was cmpleted n Tuesday June 5th and the new electrical netwrk has been switched ON in all 12 districts. Extra netwrk expansin int sme blcks f the districts will be carried n during August as minr part f the same prject, which was put n hld t priritize switching ON the new netwrk. District 2 lst their pwer supply fr 5 days during the final stages f the prject, and electricity was restred n Mnday, June 4th Camp s Pwer Supply: Electricity is supplied in the 12 districts fr 9 hurs frm 7:00 PM t 4:00 AM. Electrical lads in all districts are stable and the pwer supply is cntinuus ver the 9 hurs withut any interruptin. Street lights have been switched ON in districts (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) ther districts will fllw, in the past mst f these lights were switched OFF because the ld transfrmers weren t able t handle bth lads (HHs & street lights) and mst f them gt damaged (either brken r burnt-ut) nw with the new imprved transfrmers all street lights with extra new ne s will brighten the lives f refugees in Zaatari Camp thrugh a plan that will be carried n during N. External Relatins Diplmatic Missins: 29 th, US Cngressinal Staff Delegatin 12 th, Mexican Ambassadr. O. AOB OXFAM shared a presentatin n Recycling in Za atari Camp. The prject aims t prvide Syrian refugee wmen and men in 12 districts f Za atari camp with imprved access t sustainable livelihd pprtunities fr fd security in the waste management sectr. Als, t imprve slid waste management practices as well as access t alternative fd surces in 12 districts f Za atari camp. 7
