2 Bimetrics cllectin Mst applicants ldging visa applicatins in Thailand, regardless f natinality, need t attend in persn t prvide their fingerprints and a digital facial phtgraph as part f visa applicatin prcessing. The cllectin f bimetrics is cnducted an Australian Visa Applicatin Centre (AVAC) in Bangkk r Chiang Mai. Please take yur riginal passprt with yu. Yu may als need t prvide additinal infrmatin and dcumentatin after yu have made yur applicatin if the Department requires it. If the applicant is under 18 years f age at the time f applicatin ldgement, the interests f the child with regards t access t the nn-migrating parent must be cnsidered. 3 A letter f cnsent frm the nn-migrating parent stating that the nn-migrating parent allws the child t live in Australia permanently. Please nte that the letter f cnsent can nly be witnessed by an Amphur fficer (if applicable) r an Australian Visa Applicatin Centre (AVAC). The persn witnessing the letter f cnsent will als need t sight and verify a cpy f the parent s passprt r ID card, which shuld be attached as part f the applicatin; A curt rder with custdial circumstances f the applicant shuld be prvided and (if applicable) A Pr Kr 14 cvering nn-marital status f the applicant s parents. Please nte that custdy and cnsent t migrate are different and will be cnsidered separately. Therefre, yu must prvide bth dcuments t demnstrate that yu meet bth requirements. If despite all effrts the nn-migrating parent cannt be lcated r cntacted, evidence shuld be prvided in the frm f a Statutry Declaratin utlining the details f steps taken t cntact the nn-migrating parent, including the bilgical parents last knwn address and phne number and their parents last knwn cntact details, phne and address. If applicable, the Curt Orders stating wh has parental pwer ver the applicant. If the applicant s parents are divrced, their divrce certificate with a memrandum attached Adptin visa Evidence frm the Child Adptin Centre in Bangkk r Las that the child was free fr adptin at the time the applicant was adpted thrugh the inter-cuntry adptin prcedure. The Agreement shuld state full parental rights are given t the adptive parents at the time f adptin. Please nte that Thai r Las natinal spnsrs must already be an Australian citizen at the time f adptin and must pursue inter-cuntry adptin thrugh the Child Adptin Centre in Bangkk r Las nly. The Australian Embassy Bangkk cannt take part in any adptin prcess. Evidence f the adptive parents being resident utside Australia fr at least 12 mnths at the time f the adptin. Orphan Relative visa Evidence f the applicant s parents death (death certificates) r permanent incapacity (curt rders, medical reprts) r whereabuts unknwn (curt rders, plice recrds etc.) Certified cpy f the visa r Australian Citizenship Certificate f the applicant s Australian spnsr. A spnsr must als: be the child's brther r sister, grandparent, aunt r uncle, r niece r nephew, (r step equivalents); have been lawfully resident in Australia fr a reasnable perid (usually tw years); and have turned 18 years f age. Spnsrs must satisfy ne f the fllwing custdy requirements when applying t spnsr children under 18 years f age: They must have the sle legal right t determine where the child shall live, r t remve the child frm their hme cuntry. 4 If anther persn can legally determine where the child can live, the spnsr must btain a statutry declaratin frm this persn r peple, granting permissin fr the child t migrate. They must pssess a valid curt rder allwing them t permanently remve the child frm the child's hme cuntry. They must have a curt rder issued by the Family Curt f Australia, and the grant f the visa must be cnsistent with that rder. Spnsr - Infrmatin and dcuments required A certified cpy f the bi-data page f the spnsr s passprt Evidence f Australian citizenship r permanent resident status r f being an Eligible New Zealand Citizen. An Eligible New Zealand Citizen is described n frm 40CH and in bklet 2 Child Migratin which is available n the Department s website An Eligible New Zealand Citizen is als required t cmplete health and character checking Evidence that may establish the spnsr s financial ability t prvide settlement supprt t the applicant(s) (eg. Evidence f emplyment, Tax assessment ntices, business dcuments if self-emplyed, superannuatin dcuments if self-funded retiree). If insufficient evidence is prvided an Assurance f Supprt may be requested. When the applicant is under 18 years f age, the spnsr (and spnsr's partner in Child visa applicatins) is required t prvide: An riginal f a cmplete disclsure Australian Natinal Plice Certificate (NPC) if the persn has spent a ttal f 12 mnths r mre in Australia since turning 16 years f age; and; Plice checks frm each cuntry ther than Australia in which the persn has spent a ttal f 12 mnths f mre in the last 10 years since turning 16 years f age. An NPC must be btained frm the Australian Federal Plice (AFP). Prf f a Wrking With Children Check r prviding a plice clearance frm an Australian State r Territry is nt sufficient fr ur purpses. Glbal visa and citizenship prcessing times will be updated mnthly, prviding yu with an indicative timeframe fr prcessing applicatins. 5 Individual cases may be decided in lnger r shrter perids than the service standard, depending n a range f factrs, including individual circumstances and the cmplexity f each case. Dcuments nt in English must be accmpanied by accredited English translatins. 'Certified cpies' are cpies authrised, r stamped as being true cpies f riginals, by a persn r agency recgnised by the law f the cuntry in which yu currently reside. PLEASE NOTE: Original dcuments must be prvided fr any Plice Certificates r Cnsent letters that are requested. What if my circumstances change after I ldge my visa? If there are any changes in yur circumstances fllwing ldgement f yur applicatin, yu are bliged t infrm us abut them. Yu may use Frm 1022 Ntificatin f Changes in Circumstances fr this purpse. Health and Character Clearances Medical examinatin prcess. After an initial assessment, a case fficer will prvide yu with a Health Assessment letter (by , mail r fax). Yu need t prvide the health assessment letter yu receive frm yur case fficer t the Panel Dctr. Medical examinatins must be undertaken by a dctr frm a list f apprved dctrs prvided by the Visa and Immigratin Office, Australian Embassy Bangkk. Plice/Character prcess Original plice clearance certificate(s) frm every cuntry the applicants (if aged 16 years and ver) have resided in fr a ttal f 12 mnths r mre during the last 10 years.
