In fact, they are the item that's most requested by anyone living outside ROXBURY SOCK DRIVE You Can Help! Roxbury Will Be Collecting Socks from December 3-14 Please send in your new pairs or packages of socks and help The Community West Foundation. 13 IMPORTANT INFORMATION & REMINDERS Photo ID: It is now policy to present a photo ID when you come into the school. Please refer to the Family Handbook for further information. School Dismissal Car Pickup: Please remember to enter Solon Blvd from Arthur Road instead of Inwood Dr. That way the car pickup line can be on the same side of the street as the school and no one needs to turn left into the school. This will help with the traffic flow after school. Walkers: Please remember to pick up your students either across Solon Blvd or at the Roxbury School sign. The teachers are responsible for getting the students to the sign and will not release them to parents standing at the door. After School Care Centers: Please remember to contact your after-school care centers with your changes in dismissal plans. The centers tend to call the schools when a child does not arrive as scheduled. Facebook: If you are on Facebook, please consider joining the Roxbury PTA group ( We will post our sign-ups on this group when we are looking for volunteers. For the safety and privacy of our children, only Roxbury families will be permitted in this group. If you send a request to join and are not approved right away, check your Facebook messages. We will be double-checking all new member requests to ensure that they have children at Roxbury. Yearbook: If you take photos at any school event, please send them to roxburypta@yahoo.com to be included in the yearbook. We would like to have as many kids represented in the yearbook as we can! Parking: When coming to school, please do not park in the front drive before 8am or after 2pm. Please park in the side lot or on the side ABC streets. Please do not park on Solon Blvd in front of the school at any time. Birthday Policy: Treats and trinkets will no longer be allowed to be brought in to celebrate your child s birthday. The school is recommending that you send in a book for your teacher s classroom library. Please refer to your Family Handbook for further information. Doctor/Dentist Appointments: Please remember to bring a note from your child s doctor/dentist if your child will be missing any part of the school day. 13
