1 Sourdough News April 2015 CHAPTER MEETING WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15TH The next monthly Chapter meeting will be place on Wednesday, April 15th at the MOA Permit Center. PRESIDENT S CORNER Thanks to Tom Kretzschmar for organizing and facilitating the online elections for officers recently we will have an official swearing in of these officers at our summer BBQ which will be held in early July. Please stay tuned for dates, time, and location. The online voting worked great this year highly efficient and easy to do. Thanks again to Tom and our slate of officers which includes: Paula Brault (President), Fred Mortimer (Vice President), Claire Mueller (Secretary), and Louise Hooyer (Treasurer). If anyone is interested in helping out as Vice-Treasurer and potentially assuming this role in the chapter please let me know. Also, as Claire assumes the Secretary position we are looking for someone to take over the newsletter please let me know if you are interested. The IRWA course Reviewing Appraisals in Eminent Domain (course #410) has unfortunately been cancelled. In the future you may register and pay for the monthly chapter lunches and other events using PayPal look at the Chapter 49 website as an example and see how easy it is to pay ahead for your lunch on the 15 th of April. Speaking of the 15 th please be at the chapter meeting to hear Dr. Katie Ringsmuth (from the Anchorage Museum) as she talks about the Anchorage Centennial and the associated Maps Project. Thanks also to Tim Trawver and Louise Hooyer for getting the PayPal account up and running. The Alaska Land Titles class held on March 27 th filled up so fast that we scheduled a second class for May 15 th if you are interested please see the chapter website (again) and pay via PayPal (if you are inclined). COURSE COORDINATOR NEEDED We still need a Course Coordinator for IRWA C- 303 Managing the Consultant Process, scheduled for October 15-16, This is a great opportunity to attend this course for free!
