October 19, 2010 Renewal #074-10: Laptops and Computers Information Technology Academic Accountability & Compliance renewal of the contract to Netsync Network Solutions (Houston, TX) for an estimated amount of $1,936,135, which represents the best value to the District. Purchase orders will be processed on an "as needed" basis. (second) beginning December 17, December 16, 2012 with an a third (final) year. $1,999,542. Estimated year are $1,936,135. Purpose: To comply with procurement requirements to purchase laptop and computers which are of immediate need and funded through the general operating fund and Title 1 funds. Individual computer costs will be as follows: student unit $797.00, administrative unit $836.00, laptops $1, The District will purchase an estimated amount of 2,255 units. An additional will be issued to vendors in the coming months as specifications for the next round of purchases will materially change. 4B. October 31, 2011 Texas Association of School Board (TASB) Buy Board: Hand Sanitizers Health Services Curriculum & Instruction awarding a contract to William V. MacGill (Lombard, IL) for an estimated amount of $32,134, which represents the best value to the District. Purchase orders will be processed on an "as needed" basis. (first) beginning 2012 with an a second and third (final) year. No historical expenditures are available as this is a new District initiative. Estimated year are $32,134. Purpose: To comply with procurement requirements to purchase hand sanitizers for all District campuses. Sanitizers will be placed in all elementary classrooms and all middle and high school cafeterias. 2

Purpose: To comply with procurement requirements to purchase monitoring services for 75 security and 66 fire alarm panels. 4D. October 14, 2011 Region One South Texas Co-op: USDA Beef Processing Services of Child Nutrition Program Division of Plant Facilities and Support Services awarding a contract to Don Lee Farms (Inglewood, CA) for an estimated amount of $86,719, which represents the best value to the District. Purchase orders will be processed on an "as needed" basis. period of eight months beginning June 30, 2012 with an option to renew for a second and third (final) year. $86,719. Estimated expenditures for eight months are $86,719. Purpose: To comply with procurement requirements to purchase USDA beef processing commodities, such as charbroiled beef patties, chicken fried steaks, and salisbury steaks. 4E. October 26, 2011 Region One South Texas Co-op: Cooler/Freezer Equipment and Monitoring Services of Child Nutrition Program Plant Facilities and Support Services awarding a contract to E-Control Systems (Sherman Oaks, CA) for an estimated amount of $29,630, which represents the best value to the District. Purchase orders will be processed on an "as needed" basis. This is a one time purchase for temperature monitoring equipment. in 2007 were $13,150. Estimated expenditures for one year are $29,630. Purpose: To comply with procurement requirements to purchase cooler/freezer equipment and monitoring services. This purchase provides monitoring services for 18 walk-in cooler/freezers for the District elementary schools. The purchase in 2007 covered only 16 walk-in units and related software/training costs. 3

(San Antonio, TX) for an estimated amount of $16,539, which represents the best value to the District. Purchase orders will be processed on an "as needed" basis. beginning in 2009 were $74,645, when the District purchased a playground for Heights Elementary School. Estimated expenditures for one year are $16,539. Purpose: To comply with procurement requirements to purchase a playground at Santo Niño Elementary. The District will pay $16,539 and $9,000 will be paid directly to the vendor by the grant. 4G. October 14, 2011 #11-058: Track and Field Equipment Athletics Finance awarding a contract to M-F Athletics (Cranston, RI) for an estimated amount of $54,442, which represents the best value to the District. Purpose: To comply with procurement requirements to purchase track and field equipment such as pole vaults and hurdles. The equipment will be utilized at the new Shirley Field Complex. 4H. Discussion and possible action to instruct the Superintendent to build an encased glass hall of fame for Shirley stadium to place pictures and other memorabilia of all athletes who have competed, played, or been involved with sports in Shirley stadium. This includes athletes from Border Olympics, Special Olympics, and groups who have used the stadium for sports events.
