2 2 Business of the Month Cazenovia Jewelry has been owned and operated by Ralph Monforte for 31 years. He has been dedicated to providing the best quality jewelry in central New York. His specialty is the ability to appraise jewelry, including identifying and valuing gems and precious metals. Even though Ralph Monforte tends to favor collections from Italy, like Nomination and Leslie s, his favorite piece will always be the classic solitaire diamond engagement ring. It is a pleasure to help couples pick out the symbol of their love and future life together. Cazenovia Jewelry has two locations, one at 533 Towne Drive in Fayetteville Towne Center and the other in the lovely village of Cazenovia at 49 Albany Street. Every designer collection has been chosen to showcase the style, beauty, and quality that our customers value. The Cazenovia store carries the popular Alex and Ani charm bracelets and the new line of handmade glass giftware by Simon Pearce. The Fayetteville store carries the fine Italian line of Nomination jewelry, Citizen and Bering watches, and Valina engagement and wedding rings. Both locations are full service Jewelry stores, providing repairs, re-mounting, custom bridal, re-stringing, watch battery replacement and watch repair, stone setting, custom design, re-tipping worn prongs, engraving, special orders, giftware, and appraisals. The knowledgeable staff is happy to help customers pick out the perfect present or piece of jewelry. During this Holiday season from Thanksgiving to Christmas, both locations will be presenting customers who purchase a watch or piece of jewelry with a hand blown, lighted glass ornament as a special thank you gift! From Ralph Monforte and staff to all of our wonderful long term and new customers, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!!

8 8 The is featured in a The Week article highlighting the Fab Lab, Creation Lab and Little Makers space. The article also highlights how public libraries are serving their communities by embracing innovation. Read the article here: The First LEGO League team performed extremely well at the Regional Qualifier tournament in Mexico, NY in November. The team s overall score was high enough to win the Champion s Award and advance to the Regional Final Tournament on January 16th at SUNY Poly in Utica! The team effectively communicated their project ideas to the judges. They also showed an incredible amount of honesty and integrity when they corrected the judges after they were wrongly awarded the top score in the robot competition. The team s teen mentors were also awarded the Mentor Award for their amazing leadership and commitment to the team! On Veterans Day, the hosted a variety of LEGO Drop and Build Programs. Over 85 people attended throughout the four hours. Participants ranged in ages from toddlers to grandparents. Activities included DUPLO activities for toddlers, LEGO building for kids of all ages, and LEGO Robotics for tweens and teens. The American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation saw a record turnout at its induction ceremony and banquet during the High Point Market. The October 18 event was held at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C. For the first time, the foundation announced the names of this year s inductees into the Hall of Fame before the event, enabling it to produce a tribute video for the 2014 and 2015 inductees showcasing their passions, inspiration and wisdom inductees included Aminy Audi, CEO and chairman of L. & J.G. Stickley. The Hall of Fame s core mission focuses on capturing and presenting the home furnishings industry s history through innovative videos, photos and words, Amini said in the release. It is up to each of us to play a role in preserving our stories and documenting our collective history for future generations. With our expanded scope, we are embracing an even wider, more diverse segment of the home furnishings community. The High Point-based organization was founded to honor individuals, whose outstanding achievements have contributed to the continued growth and development of the U.S. home furnishings industry, and to research, collect and preserve its cultural, economic and artistic history. Membership includes eligibility to nominate candidates for consideration by the selection committee.
