1 The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by the Registered Municipal Clerk, Lee Ann DeHart. The following statement was read by the Registered Municipal Clerk: Adequate notice of this meeting has been given by notifying the South Jersey Times and the Courier Post, posting the meeting date on the official bulletin board of the Township, and filing written notice with the Township Clerk on December 22, Deacon Dave Murnane gave the Invocation Boy Scout Troup #295 presented the Colors and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Ms. Isabelle Nicholas perform the Nation Anthem. Ms. Megan Kerr was accompanied by her family as Senate President Stephen M. Sweeney administered the oath of office of Committeewoman of the Township of West Deptford. Mr. Jim Robinson was accompanied by his family as Senate President Stephen M. Sweeney administered the oath of office of Committeeman of the Township of West Deptford. Roll Call: Ms. DiCarlo, Ms. Kerr, Mr. Mehaffey, Mr. Reid, and Mr. Robinson were in attendance. Ms. DeHart called for a nomination for the appointment of Mayor. Mr. Mehaffey made the motion to nominate Denice DiCarlo as Mayor and was seconded by Mr. Reid. The vote was as follows: Ms. Kerr Mr. Mehaffey Mr. Reid Mr. Robinson Ms. DiCarlo Ms. Denice DiCarlo was accompanied by her family as Senate President Stephen M. Sweeney administered the oath of office of Mayor. The meeting was turned over to Mayor DiCarlo. Mayor DiCarlo asked for a nomination for the appointment of Deputy Mayor, Mr. Reid made the motion to nominate James Mehaffey as Deputy Mayor and was seconded by Ms. Kerr. The motion was approved unanimously. Mr. James Mehaffey was accompanied by his family as Senate President Stephen M. Sweeney administered the oath of office of Deputy Mayor. 1 P a g e

2 Senate President Stephen M. Sweeney congratulated Megan and Jim on their election and noted that he will continue to do so what is best for West Deptford. Mayor DiCarlo thanked her family and everyone in attendance for the support offered her throughout the years. Ms. DiCarlo acknowledged the distinguished guests, former and current elected officials and the 2017 Miss West Deptford Queens and asked for a moment of silence in support of all the Armed Forces around the world. Each Committee member took the opportunity to address the audience and thanked their families and the members of the community that make West Deptford Township a great place to live and work. The motion was made by Deputy Mayor Mahaffey and seconded by Mr. Reid. The motion was unanimously RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE RE-ADVERTISING FOR FAIR AND OPEN PROCESS FOR THE AWARDING OF THE 2017 PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT FOR WEST DEPTFORD TOWNSHIP ARCHITECT Mayor DiCarlo called for a motion to reject and re-advertise the appointments of Special Counsel-Redevelopment, Special Counsel- Affordable Housing and Bond Counsel. Deputy Mayor Mehaffey made a motion and was seconded by Mr. Reid and the motion was approved by the entire Committee. Mayor DiCarlo called for a motion to temporarily appoint DeCotiis, FitzPatrick & Cole, LLP as Special Counsel for Redevelopment with a not to exceed contract of $17,500 and Deputy Mayor Mehaffey made a motion.
