4 CVPA Jeannette Rossling 911 volunteers have registered. 795 have cleared background check, with 62 youth volunteers, 7 volunteers with limited volunteer role and 3 volunteers has failed their background check. The other 44 volunteers, 3 are pending their background checks, 35 have not done their volunteer verification form, and 6 have chosen not to be volunteer this season. 419 are new volunteers. Last year at this time we had 865 volunteers. (5.3% increase from MY2016, 6% decrease from MY2015) 9 Volunteers need only Safe Haven 60 Need only Concussion Awareness Training 134 Need both Safe Haven & Concussion Awareness Training 78% of all volunteers are in compliance with SH & CAT Issues with AYSO U: A. CDC Concussion Awareness Training is not available at current time. Waiting for National to confirm when it will be available again. SAFE HAVEN MUST have been taken within the last two years by Section 10*. Concussion Awareness MUST to be taken within the last two years by Section 10*. Concussion Awareness MUST be taken by all Coaches as of 1/1/17 California State Law. June 1, 2015 is the latest date for trainings to be valid. o Completed activities: Blue Sombrero & AYSO U issues. Open Office Hours o Ongoing activities: Dealing with Blue Sombrero & AYSO U o Upcoming activities: Spring Soccer, AYSO Expo * National AYSO requirement is every 5 years. AYSO United Program Dan Johnston The AYSO United Program will be part of Section 70. Dan Johnston will be the administrator. Bob Dawson with Justin Schlimgen will be the Director of Coaches. Sarah Schlimgen & Carol Bjordahl will be registrars. There will be one location in Blue Sombrero for registration. Same participation points as AYSO Core Program. Sara Richardson makes a motion for Region 68 to host AYSO United Channel Islands for MY2018 Season. Jeannette Rossling seconds the motion. Mike Harrison and Dan Johnston abstain. All else in favor.
