1 SECRET GENERAL AGREEMENT ON TARIFFS AND TRADE No. 166 SECRET/ June 1992 Original: French ARTICLE XXVIII:A NEGOTIATIONS Schedule LXXX European Community The following communication, dated 2k June 1992, has been from the Commission of the European Communities. received I refer to the deliberations of 19 June 1992 of the Council of Representatives which has authorized the European Communities to begin negotiations under Article XXVIII, paragraph k of the General Agreement with a view to modifying their tariff concessions in respect of certain oilseeds and oilcakes. The Communities intend to modify the following concessions included in Schedule LXXX European Communities: Tariff number Product description Concessions to be modified Initial negotiating right Soyabeans, whether or not broken: Other (than for sowing) Rape or colza seeds, whether or not broken: Other (than for sowing) Sunflower seeds, whether or not broken: Other (than for sowing) Sweden Oilcake and other solid residues, whether or not ground or in the form of pellets, resulting from the extraction from the extraction of soyabean oil Pakistan Oilcake and other solid residues, whether or not ground or in the form of pellets, resulting from the extraction of vegetablefats or oils, other than those of heading No or 2305: of sunflower seeds of rape or colza seeds Pakistan Pakistan

The Communities are prepared to enter into negotiations or consultations in accordance with the relevant provisions of Article XXVIII of the General Agreement. Contracting parties which consider that they have an interest in these concessions are requested to notify the fact as soon as possible.
