In October we had 17 new member adds as a region and continued to rack up the months at growth. Raising our months at growth in a row to five and growth 8 out of 10 months!!!!! The Fox Valley Region was +7 for the month of October which raises our year to date growth to +29 as a Region. Last year when the Fox Valley Region were Jaycee Like a Rockstar they achieved HUGE growth of +37, fellow Jaycees we are getting very close to that number in Let's keep on growing and make it two years in a row of growing this Region by +37. To get all of you caught up, here is a recap of what each of our eleven chapters have been up to this month. President Sue from Algonquin / Lake in the Hills had the chapter looking to next year with having a full planning session after their general membership meeting. They also enjoyed 100% retention retaining 5 out of 5 members, as well as recruited one new member. The Algonquin / Lake in the Hills Jaycees are going to explode very soon and I don't doubt they will get to growth this year. President Annie from Batavia enjoyed another month of 100% retention in the month of October. That makes it 7 out of 10 months with 100% retention. That is plan awesome!!!! Let's finish up the year strong and keep retaining the members that we have and let's not forget to add a few new ones as well. President Cathy from Cary-Grove had the chapter in full swing during the month of October by having a Can Shake to raise funds for Camp New Hope, Beer in Hand Volleyball and Dart Dynamics all ran by rookie members. Cary-Grove added 3 new members in October, raising their total of new member adds for the year to 13. Cary-Grove I know that you have it in you, let's get to growth for the year. President Mike from Crystal Lake has the Crystal Lake Jaycees focused on growing the chapter in the month of October by having 6 new member adds to be +5 for month of October. They ran a Carnival, visited the Corn Maze and had a Blood Drive. With the projects that you have coming up I can see you guys getting to growth for the year. Keep on pushing and you will get there. 3 DD Report Continued... President John from Elgin has added 9 NMA's this year and would love to add some more. Elgin is currently sitting at +3. They have been working hard using the Jaycee Tools that we have, like the Blue Chip Program, and it is paying off. Keep up the hard work I know that things for the Elgin Jaycees are about to happen!!! President Michelle from Hampshire-Burlington had a great month in October by having 100% retention for another month this year, retaining their year to date growth at +1. I can't wait till your next project comes up. I love how your community comes out to support everything the Hampshire Burlington Jaycees do. President JR from Huntley has had the Huntley Jaycees focused on bringing in new members in the month of October. They added 3 new members and raised their year growth to +11 for the year. That is 7 out of 10 months with new member adds, with a total of 21 new member adds in total for the year. With the projects that they have coming up in the month of November I know that you will activate all of the new members and find some more to grow the Huntley Jaycees!!!! President Chuck from McHenry has the chapter really going with their largest project of the year, Haunted House!!! McHenry is enjoying another month with new member adds, they welcomed another 2 members into their chapter, raising their year to date growth to +14. You are so close to DOUBLING UP your chapter; let us know how we can help you!!!! President Alexcia from Saint Charles has the Chapter in a very scary state, for the Haunted House of course. I know that they will push hard to have a successful Haunted House season. They have the perfect location, working with a young business owner and all of their members are ready to scare. In the month of October they enjoyed 75% retention. Keep on working hard to add new members, the region team believes in you and of course let us know how we can help. President Frank from South Elgin has the chapter ready to scare all that come to their Haunted House. In October they had 2 new member adds and had 100% retention for another month this year. With that, they have raised their year to date growth to +34 and they have their eyes set on a TRIPLE UP and I think they can do it. South Elgin you only need to go +12 for the rest of the year to achieve that goal. Keep your eye on the prize and let me know how I can help. President Sara from Woodstock has the chapter focused on membership all year. In October they enjoyed 100% retention which speaks highly to the atmosphere the Woodstock Jaycees create. Let's keep on asking all who will listen if they want to become a member of the GREAT WOODSTOCK JAYCEES. Year end growth is right around the corner all you need is to add 4 new members to achieve it. Fox Valley I have to tell you that I'm excited about the success that we have enjoyed thus far in We currently have five chapters at YEAR TO DATE GROWTH. There are four chapters that are only 4 members or less away from being even for the year. That is not a bad position to be in at the end of October. I see potential for yearend growth for every chapter in this Region all we have to do is keep on working hard and not forgetting to ask people if they would like to change their world and become a member of the greatest young person's leadership training organization in the world. 5 Article from 2010 Region Director elect Fox Valley, Are you ready for a great year in 2010? Are you ready to climb to new heights you never expected to reach? Well, I am and I am so excited to being my preparations in delivering needs and resources to your chapters! Although my year as your Region Director doesn't officially begin until January 1, I have been strategizing and planning the needs of our Region now. I want to bring great training TO your chapters, provide resources for your chapters, empower your chapters and see newer members achieving satisfaction. My goal, I want to see our Region be GREAT! row grow by 100 members G R E A T etain retain our current members xceed exceed in all our projects, goals and expectations chieve achieve our dreams rain provide training opportunities to chapter members, prospects and our communities My theme for 2010 is 30 Years Still Growing Strong We have so much to do and only a year to do it. In the grand scheme of things, a year is not very long and I need every chapter's help and participation in making our Region the best in Illinois all year long. I implore every Chapter President (or Acting Chapter President) to work with their incoming FABULOUS District Director (to be assigned shortly). And, I encourage all Chapter Boards to give me a call or send me an with ideas, needs, issues or good things your chapter is doing. I am available for you when you need me.
