Lydia has been a fixture in the club for over 10 years. She takes care of the recycling, oversees the distribution of computers, is on the board of directors. Lydia also was secretary and managed the volunteer desk for many years. She handles many other tasks too numerous to list here. The club is appreciative of all that she does and honors her this month for her many years of service. Thank you Lydia. It was good to see the attendance at the February meeting. We had the largest crowd we've had in a long time. About 115 people. We hope to see good crowds until April when the snowbirds start to go north. Be sure to mark July 29th on your calendar. Program High-Lights Dick Evans covered Google Photos 113 Members attended February s Meeting If you have a google account for Cloud storage you get 15 gigs of free space.. Google Photos allows you to upload all the photos you want into their google cloud for free. As long as your pictures are less than 16 megapixels in size, and most cameras and other devices are 12 megapixels, or if you agree to let google resize them they are not considered part of the 15 gigs of space. A word of caution, once you remove a photo from google photo, it is removed from all devices and you have 60 days to restore any deleted photo. After that time, the photo is gone forever into cyberspace. You can create collections of pictures. This feature is like setting up a folder. This feature is great for the person that never got around to sorting or labeling their pictures ENJOY Lydia If you are originating your word processing forms from google docs, that doesn't count in the 15 gigs of space. There is a Google Photo app for android, Iphone and windows. When installing the app, you can set it up so that every time you take a picture it goes to Google Photos without taking extra steps. Go to photo.google.com and access your photos that you have stored on line as long as you are logged into your Google account. Pictures can be found by location or by date. They are tagged by latitude and longitude You can also find pictures by facial recognition. You are able edit photos in your google account making them brighter and cropping and using other editing features..
