1 February 2016 Joyful Celebrations February is a month filled with celebrations and commemorations. Whether it s a holiday such as Groundhog Day, the Chinese New Year, Valentine s Day, or Presidents Day, here at the Commons we will explore its meanings and traditions, and bring it alive through music and art, treats for the palate, a tickle of the funny bone, and more! On Sunday, February 7th we will gather in the Activity Room to watch the Superbowl. We ll be rooting for our favorite team, while also enjoying the entertaining half-time and commercials. There will be delicious snacks to share with your friends as well! Entertainer Cali Rose will help us celebrate Valentine s Day in style! On Sunday, February 14th come dressed in red or pink, and be prepared to croon along with Cali. We will enjoy tunes that illustrate the various forms of love that we experience in our lives. At the end we will share a sweet festive treat! In addition to our celebrations and events, we are also thrilled about some new programs and classes. On the first and third Wednesdays (the 3rd & 17th of this month) at 10:00 A.M. we have a new Balance and Strength class sponsored by ComForCare Home Care. Help prevent falls, and have a great time doing it! On February 15th, all who use walkers are encouraged to bring them to the Activity Room between 1:00 3:00 P.M. to have them inspected by AccentCare for any loose parts or other safety issues, and tuned up. Don t pass this up! We are very excited to announce the first Infinity Fashion Show, which will take place on Friday, February 26th. Come watch your fellow residents model these fashionable, functional and fun outfits! Clothing may be preordered at the event, and will be gift wrapped and delivered to you. What are we waiting for? Let the celebrations begin!. Look inside this newsletter for full and complete details and descriptions of all our February programs, events and outings.
