1 Foothills Pachyderm Lorem Ipsum News November 2018 FOOTHILLS REPUBLICAN WOMEN FEDERATED PRESIDENT: Gayle Rich VP-MEMBERSHIP: PAT SCHUTTE EDITOR: DONNA MARCH GENERAL MTG. THE ELK S LODGE 7430 JACKSON DR. SAN DIEGO - November 15, 2018 CHECK IN 10 A.M MTG. 10:30 A.M. TELEPHONE SECRETARIES: Norma Malik (A G) DORIS FIFER (HO-P) AUDREY RAY (Q-Z) Rick Amato is a national television talk show host, radio talk show host, columnist and political commentator. He is best known for his grassroots, right-of-center political views. He is an advocate for capitalism, free markets, limited government and a strong America. Rick believes that the greatest political threat facing America today is not from the Left, but instead, from the disconnect which exists between those who were elected to office and those they elected to represent. From he hosted the highly successful prime time national TV show, The Rick Amato Show on the upstart TV network One America News. He is an award-winning radio talk show host having hosted Inside the Story with Rick Amato on Washington Times radio and The Rick Amato Show on KCBQ radio in San Diego, CA from Rick Amato believes that politics follows pop culture- no the other way around- and conservatives in America need to do a better job of embracing pop culture instead of pushing away from it. He is a friend and acquaintance of many of Hollywood's conservative minded actors, directors, producers and technicians. Many of which are in the closet because of their political views and the fear of loss of work. He is a staunch supporter of America's military veterans and has used his shows to raise money and awareness for wounded and incarcerated veterans. I'm thrilled to have Rick come and discuss the election results. Dawn Sebaugh 1st VP Programs
2 PRESIDENT GAYLE RICH S MESSAGE FOR NOVEMBER 2018: For me, enough has been said about this crazy political season! We will just have to work harder and take it all back in 2020! The Democrats will fail and make us look even better by then! Let's talk about another season...thanksgiving! Thanksgiving has been neglected for too many years and I think it is about time we give it the honor it deserves. It seems like it is crammed between Halloween and Christmas almost as an afterthought and a vehicle to blast into retail hysteria! Really?? Do we really need to start shopping on Thanksgiving day in order to fulfill some need to please or save a few dollars? Some retailers refuse to open and I think that is the way it should be. In 2013 Ace Hardware stated "Some things are more important than money" and I say amen to that. So during this kick off, to the wild ride of the Holiday Season, we might want to remember all we have to be grateful for. Sometimes we might forget to be grateful..i know I do...we might want to practice gratitude to help us all through this political and holiday season. I have read that expressing or writing about gratitude can improve your attitude, build strong relationships, improve mental health, enhance physical health, boost self esteem, promote better sleep, increase empathy for others and SPREAD HAPPINESS! Thanksgiving is the day the Pilgrims invented to thank God and Abraham Lincoln made it a national day of gratitude. And to quote Peggy Noonan, " And Happy Thanksgiving to our beloved country, the great and fabled nation that is still, this day, the hope of the world ". And I say go out and be grateful! God Bless you all and Have a Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving! 4 WAYS & MEANS: Christmas Party December 6 Our Christmas Luncheon is coming up on December 6, 2018 and we are all looking forward to enjoying a day of fun and activities. I would like to thank the ladies who have contributed gift cards and items for our Opportunity Drawing Baskets. It is always good to get involved and show an interest in the things that are important to our club and to make it a great Republican celebration. President Trump shows us how enthusiasm and hard work makes our efforts a success. If you still have items and gift cards to donate I am ready to receive them. You can call me anytime or come by my home. Looking forward to seeing you at the next General Meeting November 15, Sincerely, Helen Byers Altamont Rd. La Mesa, CA November 8 FRWF Board Mtg.
