This presentation aims to expose the illicit use and danger of a variety of Internet technologies, including hidden TOR, social networking, alternative reality gaming, and others. 5 THURSDAY, JULY 30 9:00-10:30A Justice Reform Policymakers at all levels of government in the United States are increasingly turning toward alternatives to incarceration and pretrial detention. The aim is to decrease the cost of the criminal justice system, while reducing recidivism and improving outcomes for people accused of and convicted of criminal behavior. Significant bi-partisan consensus has formed at the Federal and state levels on this issue, and as such, justice reform is one area where we are likely to see policy enacted and funding provided. This session will provide an overview of justice reform initiatives, and an opportunity for discussion of relevance for SEARCH.
