1 Agenda approved by Dave Stiles on July 7 th, 2018 Illinois USA Gymnastics Women s Committee Minutes Monday July 9 th, 2018 A general meeting of the Illinois USA Gymnastics Women s Committee meeting was held on Monday July 9 th, 2018 at the Abbington in Glen Ellyn. Norbert Bendixen called the meeting to order at 9:15 a.m. the following committee member roster was as follows: Norbert Bendixen Illinois USA Gymnastics State Administrative Committee Chairman Cyndi Zimmerman Ron Nasti Shane Sanders J.O. 2 Norbert gave a run down on his Regional up dates, refer to the web site. Congratulation to Ron Nasti as he has been elected by the Illinois Pro-members as Illinois Elite Chairman His term will be We would like to than Anna Li for running for this position and hope that she continues to show interest in the Illinois Committee. Results from election. I deleted count and percentages. Motion: To raise the State qualifying score for level 6/7 to a 35.AA. Proposed by: Seconded by: Vote 3 for 7 opposed Failed Motion: To allow Xcel Platinum and Diamond to have IES at State but not for Silver and Gold Seconded by: Shane Sanders

3 Motion: To Raise the State qualifying score for Xcel Bronze, Silver, Gold A.A. score from a A.A. to a A.A. Seconded by: Sari Engle Platinum and Diamond State qualifying score will stay the same as last year at A.A. All J.O levels State qualifying score will stay the same as last year. Motion: That all State meets have a non-working meet ref. Seconded by: Nick Becker Vote: 9 in favor 1 abstained State Meet Series Motion: To have Xcel State meet in 2 different weekends, April 5, 6, 7 th 2019 for Gold, Platinum, and Diamond and April 12, 13, 14 th 2019 for Bronze and Silver Proposed by: Ron Nasti Seconded by: Kathie Gebhardt Motion: To have the level 7/8 Stat meet on March 29, 30, 31 st, 2019 Seconded by: Sari Engle Motion: To have the level 6/9/10 State meet on March 15, 16, 17 th Seconded by: Cyndi Zimmerman

4 Motion: To have the level 3 State meet on March 8,9,10 th 2019 and the level 4/5 State meet on March 22,23,24 th, 2019 Seconded by: Kathie Gebhardt Last qualifying dates/declaration date Last qualifying date for level 3 is February 17, 2019 Last qualifying date for level 6/9/10 is February 24 th, 2019 Last qualifying date for level 4/5 is March 3 rd, 2019 Last qualifying date for level 7/8 is March 10 th, 2019 Last qualifying date for Xcel Gold, Platinum, and Diamond is March 17 th, 2019 Last qualifying date for Xcel Bronze and Silver is March 24 th, 2019 Entry Fee Deadline Motion: Payment deadline is the Friday after the entry deadline. Payment most be post marked by that Friday or the athlete entry will be considered late and there will be an additional $50.00 late fee per gymnast added. Seconded by: Cyndi Zimmerman Athletes competing out of session and in another level/division Athletes with religious conflictions must compete in their same level but will be allowed to compete in a different session with no awards. Athletes with conflictions due to vacation, wedding, family events, school events will be denied. Out of State Scores Motion: If out of State scores are not submitted by the entry deadline date they are considered late and there will be a $50.00 per athlete late fee added to payment. 5 State Banquet 2018 State Banquet was Sunday July 15 th at the Abbington in Glen Ellyn State Congress 2018 State Congress will be on Sunday September 23 rd at Energym from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The cost will be $ per gym or $50.00 individual. Dead line for entry is September 1 st, after that or walk in will be $ All checks written to Illinois USA Gymnastics and sent to: Energym 1715 Dekalb Ave Sycamore Il Attn: Andy Morreale Linda McDonald will be giving judges test on Saturday September 22 nd. State Bids All State Meet bids are due by August 15 th. State T- Shirts Will be the same as last year. Regional Leotards Motion: To only give regional leotard to 7,8,9,10, Xcel who are going to compete at regionals Seconded by: Cindy Morano Vote: 4 in favor 5 against 1 abstained Failed Motion: To give all 7, 8, 9, 10, and Xcel athletes attending who qualify to regionals a regional leotard if we have the money and if we do not have the money then only those who plan on competing will get them. 6 State Judges Selection: Tabled meeting on August 22 nd. Next face to face meeting will be Wednesday September 26 th.
