The Work Zone Traffic Control Supervisors may be required to be present on significant projects. Lunch will be provided Holiday Schedule - Independence Day July 4, 2011 Next NCOCC Board Meeting The next North Carolina One-Call Center Board Meeting will be on July 22 nd at 9:00 AM at Jefferson Landing in Jefferson, NC. For more information, please contact Christy Burgess at Web Ticket Management Users Conference The second annual Web TMS Users Conference will be held in Greensboro on June 23 rd from 8: 30AM through 2:00PM. It is open to all NC 811 members whether they are currently using Web TMS or not. It is an opportunity to express likes and dislikes about the system and to contribute to the wish list. 3 Highlights of Marketing Activities in 2011 Billboard Advertising: NC 811 has rented 15 billboards, around the State, from Lamar Outdoor Advertising These will be in place for 6 months Some of these were a shared expense with PSNC and Piedmont Natural Gas In addition, Lamar has given NC 811 twenty (20) Public Service billboards for periods from 4 weeks to 6 months for the cost making the skins for them. Damage Prevention Education in North Carolina School System: The Call 811 Before You Dig (Pirate) Video is now available to NC Schools. The video targets children 8-11 years old. Video is approved by the NC Dept. of Education for use in the schools. Local schools have been provided a web address (link) to download the video. A copy will be available for distribution at the next meeting. Phase II of the NCDOT s Work Zone Safety Program goes into effect on 7/1/11. This requires companies working on NCDOT R/W to have a certified Traffic Control Supervisor. Project Activity Reports: projects in progress and upcoming at least seven days prior to meeting date. Everyone present was given the opportunity to share the projects their company is working on in addition to any concerns that needed to be addressed. page Banner

4 After some discussion it was agreed that the 811 Banners will be displayed on 811 Day (August 14) in visible areas. The cost of the banners will be shard between companies. The cost should be minimal. Further discussion will be needed to see how the cost will be divided. Upcoming Meeting Information The next regular scheduled meeting will be held at the Cracker Barrel in Kannapolis in observance of 811 Day. Be sure to wear the 811 tee shirts that were distributed..
