Newton) indicated he had received information from a citizen that an FOIA request had been submitted to Jasper County School District on March 3, 203, and that that request had never been addressed. The District has no record that the FOIA request has been received. The District s request to Rep. Newton follows: 5//203: Rep. Newton replied that he had been given the document by another member of the Legislative Delegation. He indicated that he would send the document when he returned to Bluffton. The letter asks that Ms. Patterson acknowledge that she wants to pursue the matter and that she will provide a deposit for those costs. 5/29/203: Ms. Patterson has not acknowledged that she wants further information from the District. This FOIA request has been set to complete. The District sent a list of the names and salaries of all of those within the district making $50,000 or more per year. 8 October 7, 202 October 7, 202 Kelly Davis The State Newspaper Information for salaries of high school level athletic department employees in the district making $50,000 or above Oct. 8, 202 The request and response were managed through communication. All district policies, guidelines referring to religion, religious activities within the Jasper County School District Sept. 2, 202 April 22, 203 The District responded by letter, explaining that most of the information requested could be found on the district s website. The letter also explained the costs which would be involved in locating other documents. There was no follow-up by the ACLU at that time. Follow-up received March 2, 203 (dated March 3, 203). Sept. 7, 202 Aug. 4, 202 The District provided dates of employment and position held in JCSD and reported no disciplinary action related to Mr. Grant while he was in the district. The District acknowledged receipt of the request and, later, sent a letter, with attached documents. The letter also indicated the amount of the fee for collecting credit card information as requested. The letter indicated that the athletic director did not have a district credit card during the period of time for which information was collected. Additional information was provided regarding bonuses for classified staff and authorization for transfer of funds to pay those bonuses. The letter requested a deposit for a part of the fees and direction about the next steps

At that time, there was no policy concerning the use of district credit cards. 2 June 3, 202 Randy Horton ing itemized credit card statements, funding sources for bonus checks June 25, 202 The letter of June 25, 202, acknowledged that a request for specific information was received prior to December 3, 20, that two undated requests were received by the District through the Board s attorneys, and that three requests (those in item, below) were received by the District through the Board s attorneys. There was no response from Mr. Horton and the district decided not to follow up out of respect for specific extenuating circumstances. 5/29/203: No further communication has been received about this request. This request has been set to complete. May 29, 202 June 7, 202 Randy Horton Itemized credit card statements of the athletic director (5 years) and the Superintendent (no dates specified); list of everyone making an FOIA request who paid for the information by certified check (no dates specified) June, 202 Three separate requests (each dated May 29, 202) were handed to the Board s attorney June 6, 202 and were forwarded to the Superintendent s Office June 7, 202. Each request was submitted as a member of the JCSD Board of Education; however, the requests were handled as though Mr. Horton was a citizen. The Superintendent acknowledged receipt of the requests in a letter to Mr. Horton, dated June, 202, and directed the district s PIO to provide the requested information within the parameters set by the law. The PIO sent a letter, dated June 25, 202, to Mr. Horton, listing known FOIA requests and asking Mr. Horton to confirm that the list was correct and comprehensive through June 25, 202. There was no response from Mr. Horton and the district decided not to follow up out of respect for specific extenuating circumstances. 5/29/203: No further communication has been received about this request.
