MINUTES The County Board of Vermilion County, State of Illinois met in the County Board Room in the Courthouse Annex in the City of Danville, Vermilion County, Illinois on the 9 th day of August, The meeting was called to order by Chairman Marron at 6:00 p.m. Upon call of the roll, 21 were present, 6 absent. Mr. Duncan, Mr. Fox, Mr. Turner and Mr. Walls were excused, Mr. A.J. Wright and Mr. Barney were absent. Invocation: Jim Russell Mr. Morse led the Pledge of Allegiance Attest: Cathy Jenkins, County Clerk Chairman Marron in the Chair. ADOPTION OR AMENDMENTS TO THE AGENDA Chairman Marron entertained a motion to approve the agenda and to strike item 12.A in the agenda. Motion made by Mr. Eakle. Second by Mr. Criswell. VC2025 Mr. Marron stated several working groups have gotten together and have made significant progress. Mr. Marron also met with the Superintendents to come up with a long term plan for Vermilion County Education. Mr. Marron and Mr. Russell had all the Mental Health Providers together and discussed how to get on the forefront of the Health Care Evolution. VI. REPORT FROM CREDENTIALS COMMITTEE/COMMITTEE ON COMMITTEES Mr. Bill Wright discussed the new Assignments for the Committees. Mr. Bill Wright moved to accept the report as presented. FINANCIAL UPDATE Mr. Fourez stated that as of the end of June expenses are tracking about exactly where we expected them to be and by the end of this week property taxes will be starting to come in and will get us caught up on revenue. B. ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO THE COMBINED ANNUAL BUDGET AND APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR VERMILION COUNTY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR DANVILLE ELECTION COMMISSION, GENERAL FUND - $20,000 Mr. Fourez moved to approve as presented. Moved by Mr. Fourez. Second by Mr. Boyd. Upon call of the roll, 21 voted yes, 6 absent. Motion carried. Mr. Marron stated that if you see Lacey please do Congratulate her on being a member of the Edger Fellows Program. Mr. Marron also thanked Mr. Stark for the idea to approach the Farm Bauru to help with the Vacancies in the Drainage Districts. C. Committee Chairperson s Comments: Mr. Fourez, Mr. Bieritz, Mr. Bill Wright, Mr. Johnson, and Mr. Nesbitt stated that they will all have their regular meetings. Mr. Baugh stated that they had their meeting last month and the they will have a meeting this month. D. Board Member Comments: Mr. Bill Wright stated that the August 22 nd meeting of the Vermilion County Mental Health 708 Board will be held at the new Work Source Enterprises location at 3715 N Vermilion Street here in Danville.
