1 Introduction of Transnational Corporations China Forum Organizing Committee: The annual Transnational Corporations China Forum has been hosted by Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, Ministry of Commerce of the People s Republic of China and Beijing New-century Academy on Transnational Corporations ever since Forum Objectives: The series of forums have been established as a premier annual event with a great interest aroused by the current enthusiasm for the development of both overseas and domestic transnational corporations. The forums address issues pertaining to opportunities and challenges of transnational corporations in China and worldwide. In this context, a primary focus of the forums would be on exploring strategic discussions and suggestions in terms of both bring-in and go-global to companies and governments to promote optimum collaborations. Prior Forums Themes: o The 7th Transnational Corporations China Forum 2009 will be held February, 27th 2009 in Beijing with the theme of New Development, New Challenges, New Opportunities -- Transnational Corporations Global Strategies and Global Responsibilities in the Face of Economic Crisis. o Transnational Corporations China Forum Global Strategy, Global Responsibility o Transnational Corporations China Forum Transnational Corporations and China s Sustainable Development o Transnational Corporations China Forum Chinese Corporations, CSR, and Soft Power o Transnational Corporations China Forum The Scientific Concept of Development and CSR of TNCs in China o Transnational Corporations China Forum Entry into WTO and Adjustment of TNCs Strategies and Structures in China o Transnational Corporations China Forum Entry into WTO and New Trend of Investment Development of TNCs This international forum offers an excellent opportunity for senior government officials across ministries, such as MOFCOM, Policy Research Office of CCCPC, Central Party School, NDRC, SASAC, etc to deliver speeches on how to leverage domestic and foreign multinationals to cope with the ongoing global economic crisis and maintain sustainable development; as well as chief executives from world well-known multinationals to deliver speeches and present in panel discussions under titles of global strategy, global integration, and global responsibility in the face of global economic crisis. In addition, a host of mainstream media will conduct in-depth reports during and after the event. In the meantime, the forum will also release the new publication of 2009 Transnational Corporations China Report.
