($ ck/cash collected at 2/29 Bottle Pass during regular TWOQC meeting.) A pledge of $ has been given by the QCVGC. Ted Schalinski contacted me Sat 3/5 with news. A photo op of the check presentation has been scheduled for April 4, 2016 before the next Baby Shower meeting. Collection boxes have been placed at the Madera Clubhouse and on Pam Rodgers front porch. Anza Fitness Center will be placed in April. Concerns about available space at the Fitness Center have been raised by Cindy Mahle. These are being worked out. Latest meeting was Monday March 7, 2016 at the Kino Conference Center. Planning going forward was discussed. Future fund raising opportunities, publicity outlets, decorations, cakes, raffles were touched upon. 5 Attachments: 2 The Women of Quail Creek March 8, 2016 Website and Social Media Report to the Board Marianne Cobarrubias, Webmaster & Social Media Chair WEBSITE Updates as of January 29: SIDE BAR (under the Nav Bar) 1. Follow us on Facebook. The Facebook link to TWOQC s Facebook page will take members and other website viewers directly to the club s Facebook page. It is identified by TWOQC s Facebook page banner. (4th item under the Quail Logo) 2. Search field. This field allows a viewer or member to search our website for a page or event by a single word or phrase. (5th item under the Quail Logo) 3. Search by date for archived FMM. Archived Friday Morning Message pages are easy to find by clicking Older Posts at the bottom of each page but it is tedious and time-consuming going page by page by page. This new feature offers a calendar where members can scroll to the exact or guesstimated month, then clicking on each highlighted Friday date to find the archive they are looking for. (6th item under the Quail Logo) 4. Location map (Google). With the Madera clubhouse address, all TWOQC followers around the U.S. and beyond can see where we are located in beautiful southern Arizona. (Visitors must click address to activate map. Seventh item under the Quail Logo.) Updates as of February 5: SIDE BAR The Gallery. The Gallery feature displays a photo gallery in slideshow format highlighting a future, current or past event. The current Gallery photos feature the upcoming Reid Park Zoo field trip. (2nd item under the Quail Logo) Updates as of February 12: SIDE BAR The Milestone. The Milestone feature displays a countdown to a specific date. When the event falls within the current month, the countdown will change to how many days are left to a milestone (or event, in our case). This feature will be removed when not in use, and re-added when appropriate and as needed. This was a test after seeing how it actually works, it appears that setting a milestone date in this feature is probably (3rd item under the Quail Logo) more useful when counting down days rather than months. Updates beginning February 26: NAVIGATION BAR Photos & Videos. The mega folders section of Photos & Videos was becoming very long, clunky and cumbersome as displayed in the Nav Bar. The events/ meetings/programs photos and videos were taking up nearly 50% of the website space. Options: move to a free space location or upgrade to the next level of website space (creating unnecessary costs to the club). Page 2 of 2 3/8/2016 Website & Social Media Report to the Board Marianne Cobarrubias
6 TWOQC already has a free Google account - best option was to utilize the free, unlimited space available in Google Photos. There is now one Photos & Videos tab in the Nav Bar. This page contains a list of folder links, chronological by date with the most recent at top. There is a short instructional intro at the bottom of that page to assist with viewing, navigating through, and downloading photos & videos. As of March 5th, nearly 100% of the photos and videos have been moved from the website to TWOQC s Google Photos account. I m still adding a few insignificant photos to different photo albums however all primary photos and videos are in their respective folder. Updates beginning February 28: Histories page Joy O Farrell. A page was added to honor TWOQC s founder and first president. SOCIAL MEDIA: FACEBOOK Ongoing updates Social media pages become dead and viewer visits drop if activity is not kept up-to-date, especially those related to a business or organization. Posts on TWOQC s Facebook page reach a slightly different audience, so the posts (or announcements) where we promote a program/event or provide a recap of an event are edited to that specific audience. Most recent posts: March 2 YOTO aprons on sale February 21 Fashion Show accomplishments recap January 25 Thank you video to past president January 16 upcoming Baby Shower announcement January 16 Fashion Show update January 5 Fashion Show video update January 4 Thermal Totes sell out! 8 Attachments: 4 3 rd Vice President Community Relations March 8, 2016 Spring Festival have 72 aprons to sell on March 12. Sold 28 at February 29 meeting. All colors have sold almost equally well. All proceeds to Youth on Their Own (YOTO). Tour of NG Facility 9 ladies thoroughly enjoyed the tour which included a ride in a flight simulator. Will ask NG if they will do it again after this year s shower. Fun Run we were the only group mentioned by name twice as being a sponsor. The first time may have had something to do with the fact that I came in first for my age group! Polo shirts more shirts ordered. Keeping my fingers crossed that they will be here by the 25 th so the ladies will have them in time for the zoo trip. Benefit Concert #1 met with the rep from the Sahuarita Educational Enrichment Foundation (SEEF) last week to discuss a possible joint benefit for scholarships. It would be held October 8 at Sahuarita HS. Gatekeepers has agreed to the benefit and prefers an afternoon concert. Pat Neel and I will meet again with SEEF rep after this meeting. They want to push sponsorships. Might be problematic for us if we don t have 501(3) (c) status. Carol will look for volunteers to investigate that. Cost is $400 to apply. Benefit Concert #2 March 5, 2017 at Madera. Amber Norgaard and Sabra will present. They wanted $400 for a 90 minute concert. I countered with $250 for a 75 minute concert. Waiting for an answer. Zoo Trip need preliminary count by March 14 and final by March 21 for meals. Announcement for FMM re last day to buy tickets and last day to get refund? Bus needs to be paid in final by March 14. Food Bank Collection set for April 25 meeting donations table in the hallway near the bar. American Heart Association for the past few years we have made a $250 donation to the local chapter of the American Heart Association during February since heart disease is the #1 cause of death in women. Should we do it again this year?

10 Attachments: 6 PROGRAM COMMITTEE REPORT MARCH 2016 July 25 6:30 p.m.: Anna Perreira from Yellow Brick Coffee will be our new presenter. She will do a presentation about the process of roasting coffee beans to make that perfect cup of coffee and share her experiences traveling to coffee farms where her beans are harvested. Anna will bring samples for the attendees and give us a discount on items for door prizes. She will not charge us for her presentation. Perhaps we might present her with one of our aprons. March 28 Field Trip: Buses will leave at 9:00 sharp and return by 4:00 P.M. Attendees should arrive by 8:15 to get checked in. Ladies can purchase tickets (raffle style tickets) for $5 that can be exchanged for either Margaritas or wine at lunch. Will need to have change, perhaps $25 for each bus. Peggy McGee, Joan Hays, Janice Pell and Nancy Wilson will check in people, sell drink tickets and be bus monitors. Upon arrival at the zoo, Bus 1 group will do the behind the Scenes tour starting at 10:00 while Bus 2 group has free time to explore. Maps of the zoo will be given to attendees. Will try to see if we can get the maps prior to trip so we can hand them out on the bus. Bus 2 will begin the tour at 11:00. Meals will buffet style. After lunch, there will be free to visit the gift shop and/or explore the zoo, etc. Attendees will be told what time to return to buses by the bus monitors. March 2017 Field Trip: Peggy McGee is working on arranging a Sonoita winery trip with a catered lunch. Four options for a $15 all-inclusive meal would be Lasagna, taco bar, potato bar or sandwich bar. The committee will visit the winery on April 4.
