3 WMACCA at a Glance! Largest regional in-house bar association in the United States, and largest chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel ( ACC ).! More than 1,500 in-house counsel members in Washington, D.C., the Commonwealth of Virginia, and suburban Maryland.! WMACCA members come from more than 500 privatesector organizations, including some of the largest companies and non-profits in this region.! Industries vary: financial services; aerospace, defense, government contractors; high tech; telecom; non-profits and associations; media; consulting; education; hospitality; and more.

Many are specialists in government contracts, IP, employment/labor, litigation, international, non-profit, transactions/contracts, finance, securities, and corporate.! Two-thirds of the WMACCA members have practiced law for more than 10 years; half have been in-house for more than 10 years.! Approximately 65 percent of the membership comes from companies with 10 or fewer in-house counsel. * * * * *! Founded in Affiliated with ACC in In 2006, expanded geographical service area beyond D.C. metropolitan area to include all ACC members in the Commonwealth of Virginia.! Selected as ACC Outstanding Large Chapter of the Year in 2001, 2005, and 2006.

12 Highlight: General Counsel Forum Luncheon In 2007, the General Counsel Forum panel consisted of: T. Grant Callery of NASD; James B. Comey of Lockheed Martin Corp.; Ona Alston Dosunmu of The Brookings Institution; Michelle H. Gluck of LandAmerica Financial Corp.; and Matthew H. Small of Blackboard Inc. 14 In-House In the Community In 2007, WMACCA broadened its commitment to community service by taking on four projects - two park clean-ups, the D.C. Cares Servathon, and the Lawyers Have Heart 10k run - and inviting sponsors to participate on Team WMACCA.

15 Corporate Scholars Program In its first four years, the Corporate Scholars Program has placed 26 law school students in summer internships at WMACCA member companies and awarded them scholarships. The 2008 sponsorship program includes a donation from each category earmarked to support this program which provides a diversity pipeline for in-house practice.

Sponsorships of all of our local Forums (specialty substantive committees) and our Diversity Initiative. Note: This year, potential Forum sponsors must complete an application process so that WMACCA can determine the sponsor that is the best fit for the Forum s mission.! Webstreaming sponsorship provides support of WMACCA s effort to make programming more accessible to our membership.! Sponsorship fees include a specific donation to the WMACCA Corporate Scholars Program charitable foundation! Although WMACCA is the largest ACC Chapter, sponsorship fees are comparable to other large ACC chapters (SoCal; Chicago; San Francisco, New York, and New Jersey)

37 Key Dates! 2008 Sponsorship Program document is ed to prospective sponsors on Monday, October 1.! Conference Call on Friday, October 5, at 11 a.m.! Presentation of Program! Q&A! EXCEPT FOR FORUM SPONSORSHIPS, sponsorships are awarded on a first-come, firstserved basis.! FORUM SPONSORSHIPS require separate questionnaire, due by October 12, and will be awarded on the basis of the best fit between the sponsor and the Forum s mission.

38 Requirements! Only completed application forms will be accepted. messages will not be accepted.! We strongly urge you to submit your application via FAX or .pdf attachment.! Applications received via U.S. mail, courier, or FedEx/UPS will get priority based on when they are received.

39 Other logistics! Except for Forum Sponsors, all 2008 sponsors will be formally notified within 1 week after sponsorship application is received. Forum sponsors will be notified by no later than Monday, October 12.! Sponsorship fee must be paid within 30 days of notification of sponsorship award.! We expect most sponsorships to be sold out within the next several weeks.! In order for a sponsorship to appear in the 2008 WMACCA directory, sponsorship must be secured no later than January 11, 2008.
