2 Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce Newsletter September 2017 Volume 64, No. 3 Page 2 beth@mignoneconstruction.com A Word from the President - Beth Mignone Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our former Vice President, Victor E. Lambert III on May 7, Victor joined the chamber in 1997 and worked tirelessly to support the chamber s mission until he became debilitated by complications of Multiple Sclerosis in After graduating from Hofstra University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Victor chose to broaden his life experience by serving in the United States Air Force where he was stationed in South Korea. It was there, he said, I deepened my understanding of what it means to be an American. Upon returning home, Vic began his career in financial services. With 40 years in the financial industry, he offered you a seasoned professional who was competent to assist you in making life-changing financial decisions. By combining his knowledge of numbers and desire to help people live more meaningfully, Victor often told us he realized his professional and personal goals. Victor believed a balanced life is the essence of happiness. He was dedicated to helping his community be a better to place to live and work. As such, he served as a facilitator in the L.I. Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. As an Eagle Scout, he sat on the board of a Cub Scout Pack of Suffolk County B.S.A. and was an active member of both the Melville Rotary and the Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce. Vic was a true gentleman and an honorable man. He will be greatly missed by all of the chamber members who had the pleasure of knowing him. Our sincere condolences to Victor's family, friends and colleagues.
