3 A. RESOLUTIONS: 1. RESOLUTION amending Resolution No that directed and authorized the Louisiana State Mineral and Energy Board and the Office of Mineral Resources to accept nominations, advertise for, accept and award bids, and execute all oil, gas and mineral leases pertaining to the immovable property listed on the attached Exhibit A; and authorizing the Parish President to sign, execute and administer any and all relevant documents. RESOLUTION amending Resolution No that approved the hiring of an attorney and/or their law firm when necessary to perform any and all legal defense services for Lafourche Parish Government and to provide compensation in accordance with the Louisiana Attorney General s Fee Schedule; and authorizing the Parish President to sign, execute and administer any and all relevant documents. 4 On motion by, seconded by, the following resolution was introduced and adopted: RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO THAT DIRECTED AND AUTHORIZED THE LOUISIANA STATE MINERAL AND ENERGY BOARD AND THE OFFICE OF MINERAL RESOURCES TO ACCEPT NOMINATIONS, ADVERTISE FOR, ACCEPT AND AWARD BIDS, AND EXECUTE ALL OIL, GAS AND MINERAL LEASES PERTAINING TO THE IMMOVABLE PROPERTY LISTED ON THE ATTACHED EXHIBIT A; AND AUTHORIZING THE PARISH PRESIDENT TO SIGN, EXECUTE AND ADMINISTER ANY AND ALL RELEVANT DOCUMENTS. WHEREAS, this amendment is necessary to replace the previously attached Exhibit A with a new Exhibit A entitled NOMINATION PACKET FOR LAFOURCHE PARISH GOVERNMENT BY OMR Exhibit A ; and WHEREAS, Lafourche Parish Government has determined that it is the owner of mineral interests in and under immovable property described in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, Lafourche Parish Government has determined that it desires to take advantage of LSA R.S. 30:152 (A), et seq, to authorize the Louisiana State Mineral and Energy Board to nominate the property described in Exhibit A for a state agency mineral lease; and WHEREAS, any bids received for said lease shall not be less than $175/acre, rentals not less than $87.50/acre, and not less than 20% royalty; and WHEREAS, this resolution was sponsored for Administration by Mr. Aaron Melvin, Councilman, District 4; and WHEREAS, it is recommended by the Administration of Lafourche Parish Government that the Council does hereby amend Resolution No that directed and authorized the Louisiana State Mineral and Energy Board and the Office of Mineral Resources to accept nominations, advertise for, accept and award bids, and execute all oil, gas and mineral leases pertaining to the immovable property listed on the attached Exhibit A; and authorizes the Parish President to sign, execute and administer any and all relevant documents. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lafourche Parish Council convened in special session on March 1, 2018, and hereby amends Resolution No that directed and authorized the Louisiana State Mineral and Energy Board and the Office of Mineral Resources to accept nominations, advertise for, accept and award bids, and execute all oil, gas and mineral leases pertaining to the immovable property listed on the attached Exhibit A; and authorizes the Parish President to sign, execute and administer any and all relevant documents.

A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO THAT APPROVED THE HIRING OF AN ATTORNEY AND/OR THEIR LAW FIRM WHEN NECESSARY TO PERFORM ANY AND ALL LEGAL DEFENSE SERVICES FOR LAFOURCHE PARISH GOVERNMENT AND TO PROVIDE COMPENSATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOUISIANA ATTORNEY GENERAL S FEE SCHEDULE; AND AUTHORIZING THE PARISH PRESIDENT TO SIGN, EXECUTE AND ADMINISTER ANY AND ALL RELEVANT DOCUMENTS. WHEREAS, this amendment is necessary to add attorneys to the list and to update their years in practice and the hourly rates set by the Attorney General; and WHEREAS, the Lafourche Parish District Attorney serves as Lafourche Parish Government s Legal Adviser; and WHEREAS, in certain circumstances, outside legal counsel may be needed to handle defense and other legal matters; and WHEREAS, the following attorneys have acknowledged their willingness to provide Lafourche Parish Government with legal defense or other legal services: Mr. Lloyd T. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lafourche Parish Council convened in special session on March 1, 2018, and hereby amends Resolution that approved the hiring of an attorney and/or their law firm when necessary to perform any and all legal defense services for Lafourche Parish Government and to provide compensation in accordance with the Louisiana Attorney General s Fee Schedule; and authorizes the Parish President to sign, execute and administer any and all relevant documents.
