CONTRACT AWARD: PARATRANSIT VEHICLE MOBILE DATA TERMINALS TRACKING SYSTEM, STAFF REPORT # The current C-VAN vehicle tracking and communication system is in need of an upgrade. The Mobile Data Terminals (MDT) are not reliable and do not have the capacity to handle the volume of information transmitted to the vehicles. Compounding the situation is the fact that as of December 31, 2019, Verizon is retiring their current Code-division multiple access (CDMA) network. The option receiving the highest percent of votes, at percent, was C-TRAN connects people to opportunities, supports economic vitality, and enhances qualify of life for the community.
