4 Administrative Update New 4-H Agent Tracy LeCompte Began work February 3 7 ½ years as a STEM teacher at JN Fries Middle School. 10-year 4-H er from Ohio 3

5 2014 Spring Plant Sale Spring 2014 Sale January 27 February 28 Pick up March 6-7 Berry Plants, Fruit Trees, Shade Trees, Flowering trees Program Prioritization & Staffing Plan What has happened so far: Kick off at the State Extension Conference in November Listening sessions held in November and December ,000+ participated Visioning Team met January to organize and review data from the listening sessions. What is happing next: Visioning Team is meeting February to begin developing proposed strategies Visioning Team will meet in March and April to refine and focus the new strategic plan 4

6 FY 2015 Count Budget Submitted February 17 Flat budget LOGIC Model March 19 budget presentation to county administration Board of Commissioners Straw vote in May Official vote in June April 21 Board of Commissioners Meeting Cooperative Extension Centennial 6 minute presentation to Board of Commissioners Introduction by CED, remarks from three key volunteers Volunteer / Clientele attendance May 19 and 20 event in Raleigh More details will be coming from NCSU 5
