I. REGULAR MEETING OF February 21, 2017 CALL TO ORDER II. III. President Timothy Harger called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. PUBLIC COMMENTS REGARDING THE AGENDA OF February 21, 2017 TEA President, Fred Smith, addressed the board with a statement from the Titusville Education Association members in regards to contract negotiations. VII. GENERAL RESOLUTION 1. RESOLUTION #1 APPROVAL OF GENERAL RESOLUTION and adopts the following items that are included in the agenda of this meeting and incorporated herein by reference thereto with the same force and as though separate resolutions on each item were considered and adopted. RESOLUTION #2 APPROVAL TO RETAIN JAMES E. COME AS A CONTRACTED SERVICE, ASSISTANT TO ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2017 Motion: Kevin O Neill RESOLVED, that the Titusville Area School District retain James E. Come as a contracted Service provider, exempt from PSERS, as an Assistant to the Athletic Director and Advisor at a rate of $1.00 annually, effective July 1, At the discretion of the Athletic Director

3 and the Principals, Mr. Come may be utilized as a game manager, crowd control, timer, ticket seller, announcer, etc., and will be paid the amount as it relates to the professional teacher supplemental contract. James E. Come will be required to maintain all necessary clearances and paperwork in accordance with Board Policy. As presented at the February 13, 2017 school board committee meeting. 2. RESOLUTION - #4 APPROVAL OF PROCLAMATION IN SUPPORT OF NATIONAL MIDDLE LEVEL EDUCATION MONTH MARCH 2017 Motion: Ron Lytle the Proclamation to declare March 2017 as National Middle Level Education Month as presented at the February 13, 2017 school board committee meeting. RESOLUTION #5 APPROVAL TO ADD A COMPUTER SCIENCE/CODING ONLINE COURSE BEGINNING SCHOOL YEAR Second: Ron Lytle the curriculum change adding a Computer Science/Coding online course beginning with school year calendar as presented at February 13, 2017 school board committee meeting. RESOLUTION #6 APPROVE AGREEMENT WITH EDUCERE TO OFFER WORLD LANGUAGES ONLINE COURSES BEGINNING WITH SCHOOL YEAR Motion: Kevin O Neill Educere to offer World Languages online courses including German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese and Latin in the school year calendar as presented at February 13,

RESOLUTION #7 APPROVE TRANSITION AP SCIENCE BIOLOGY/CHEMISTRY COURSE INTO PITT BRADFORD COLLEGE IN THE CLASSROOM BEGINNING SCHOOL YEAR the curriculum change to transition AP Science Biology/Chemistry course into Pitt Bradford College in the Classroom beginning with the school year as presented at the February 13, 2017 school board committee meeting. (Policy 105) 6. RESOLUTION #8 APPROVE EXTENDING FCS CHILD DEVELOPMENT COURSE 1 TO A YEAR-LONG ELECTIVE CLASS IN SCHOOL YEAR the curriculum change extending Family Consumer Science (FCS) Child Development Course 1 to a year-long elective class beginning with the school year as presented at February 13, 2017 school board committee meeting. (Policy 105) 7. RESOLUTION #9 APPROVE ALTERING SPECIAL EDUCATION VOCATION STUDENT SCHEDULES TO OFFER PE FOR 3/5s CREDIT AND TRANSITIONAL RESOURCE LEARNING FOR 2/5s CREDIT Motion: Lynn Cressman Altering the Special Education Vocational Student Schedules beginning with the school year to offer physical education (PE) for 3/5s credit and transitional resource learning for 2/5s credit to meet federal transition planning opportunities as presented at February 13, 2017 school board committee meeting. (Policy 113) 8. RESOLUTION #10 APPROVAL OF ONE STUDENT, WHO HAS COMPLETED REQUIRMENETS, AS A FEBRUARY 2017 GRADUATE OF THS RESOLVED, that the Board of School Directors of the Titusville Area School District approves this student, completing all necessary requirements, as a February 2017 graduate of Titusville High School. Regular Board Meeting Monday, March 20, :00 p.m. X. OTHER BOARD COMMENTS 1. Question on bill to replace Keystone high school exams for vocational students, with the NOCTI exams (National Occupational Competency Testing Institute) exam. Ms. Jez stated it s possible the bill will pass, but these exams test different things. In the workplace, the certification demonstrating knowledge of their program of study is relevant. 2. Board Retreat Information Session This session will be held as an executive session before the regular school board meeting to be held Monday, April 17, XI. XII.
