MINISTER S ORDERS The Oil and Gas Conservation Act LOW LAKE WASECA SAND POOL MRO 107/96 PO 11. Pursuant to section 17 of The Oil and Gas Conservation Act, MRO 305/66 PO 104, dated July 19, 1966 is rescinded, and the following provisions shall apply to the drilling of, and the production of oil and gas from, vertical oil wells in the Low Lake Waseca Sand Pool, effective March 1, 1996: 1 The drainage unit shall be the north half or the south half of a legal subdivision. 2(a) The target area for the north half of a legal subdivision shall 2be a square with 100 m sides located 50 m from the north and east 2sides of the drainage unit. 2(b) The target area for the south half of a legal subdivision shall 2be a square with 100 m sides located 50 m from the south and west 2sides of the drainage unit. 3 Samples of drill cuttings from formations below the top of the Devonian System shall be taken and delivered to the Department. Dated at Regina, Saskatchewan, February 12, OTHER AREAS OFF-TARGET WELL MRO 125/96 A 40. Probe Exploration Inc. has submitted an application to drill an off-target well because the on-target well has been converted to a disposal well. Pursuant to section 27 of The Oil and Gas Conservation Act, permission is granted to drill an off-target well to produce from the Tilston formation in legal subdivision 15 of Section W1M, subject to the following: 1 The net productive area used in calculating the maximum allowable rate of production shall be determined in accordance with subsection 30(1) of The Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations, Dated at Regina, Saskatchewan, February 5, SILVERDALE SPARKY SAND POOL WATER ALTERNATING GAS PROJECT MRO 128/96. Pursuant to section 17.1 of The Oil and Gas Conservation Act, approval is granted to Trinity Energy Ltd. to construct facilities to recomplete the wells Trinity Silverdale B and Trinity Silverdale A as injection wells, and to inject gas in selected wells in the north half of Section W3M and Section W3M for the purpose of reactivating and expanding the water alternating gas project in accordance with plans filed with Saskatchewan Energy and Mines as Document No. P.M. 561 and subject to the following: 1 Good production practice is approved. 2 Installations shall be subject to the approval of a field representative of Saskatchewan Energy and Mines prior to commencement of gas injection. 3 Annual project reports shall be submitted to the Engineering Services Branch of Saskatchewan Energy and Mines. Pursuant to section 17.1 of The Oil and Gas Conservation Act, approval is granted to Poco Petroleums Ltd. to drill and complete one horizontal well in the Frobisher Beds, underlying the south-west quarter of Section W2M, in accordance with plans filed with Saskatchewan Energy and Mines as Document No. H.W. 494 and subject to the following: 1 Good production practice is approved. Dated at Regina, Saskatchewan, February 8, COLEVILLE SOUTH MANNVILLE SAND POOL COLEVILLE SOUTH DETRITAL POOL COLEVILLE SOUTH BAKKEN SAND POOL MRO 130/96 PO 7. Pursuant to section 17 of The Oil and Gas Conservation Act, MRO 497/93 PO 40, dated August 14, 1993 is rescinded, and the following provisions shall apply to the drilling of, and the production of oil and gas from, vertical oil wells in the Coleville South Mannville Sand Pool, Coleville South Detrital Pool and Coleville South Bakken Sand Pool, effective March 1, 1996: 1 The drainage unit shall be one legal subdivision except for wells drilled and completed in the Detrital Formation within legal subdivision 2 of Section W3M and all wells drilled and completed in the Bakken Sand where the drainage unit shall be onehalf of a legal subdivision, comprised of the north half or the south half of a legal subdivision. 2(a) Within a drainage unit consisting of the entire legal 2subdivision, the target area shall be a 200 m square situated in the 2north-east corner of the drainage unit. 2(b) Within a drainage unit consisting of the south half of the legal 2subdivision, the south, west and north sides of the target area 2shall be located 50 m from the corresponding sides of the drainage 2unit and the east side of the target area shall be located 250 m from 2the corresponding side of the drainage unit. 2(c) Within a drainage unit consisting of the north half of the legal 2subdivision, the south, east and north sides of the target area shall 2be located 50 m from the corresponding sides of the drainage unit 2and the west side of the target area shall be located 250 m from the 2corresponding side of the drainage unit. 3 If a well is not completed within the target area, the minister may reduce the area used as a factor in determining the MARP. 4(a) For the first well drilled in each Section, the operator shall 4submit samples of the interval from the top of the Second White 4Specks to total depth. 4(b) For all subsequent wells drilled in each Section, the operator 4shall submit samples of the interval from the top of the Paleozoic 4System to total depth, if such wells are intended to be drilled below 4the top of the Bakken Formation. 5 As a minimum requirement, the operator shall run logs to determine the resistivity, spontaneous potential, porosity and gamma ray spectra from surface casing shoe to total depth for each well drilled. 6 All oil wells licensed prior to March 1, 1996, shall be considered to be on target as prescribed in section 2. Pursuant to section 17.1 of The Oil and Gas Conservation Act, approval is granted to Cavell Energy Corporation to drill and complete two horizontal wells in the Frobisher Beds underlying the north-east quarter of Section 30 and the south-east quarter of Section W2M, in accordance with plans filed with Saskatchewan Energy and Mines as Document No. H.W. 265 and subject to the following: 1 A maximum allowable rate of production shall be assigned.. 2 MRO 140/65 PO 17, dated December 9, 1965, does not apply. Pursuant to section 17 of The Oil and Gas Conservation Act, MRO 774/95 PB 47, dated October 5, 1995 is rescinded, and the following area is designated and identified as an oil and gas pool named the Alameda East Frobisher Beds Pool, effective March 1, 1996: Lands west of the Second Meridian: in Township 4, in Range 2: the north-east quarter of Section 10; the north-west quarter of Sections 11 and 13; the south-west quarter and north half of Section 14; the south half and north-east quarter of Section 15; Section 24; the south-west quarter of Section 25. Pursuant to sections 17 and 27 of The Oil and Gas Conservation Act, approval is granted to Strike Energy Inc. to drill an off-target oil well located at W3M, subject to the following: 1 Good production practice is approved. Fletcher Challenge Petroleum Inc. has submitted an application to drill an exploratory off-target well to verify seismic interpretation. Pursuant to section 27 of The Oil and Gas Conservation Act, permission is granted to drill an off-target well to produce from the Sparky Sand formation located in legal subdivision 16 of Section W3M, subject to the following: 1 The maximum allowable rate of production will be calculated without penalty. Minister s Order MRO 146/94, dated February 15, 1994 is rescinded, and pursuant to section 17.1 of The Oil and Gas Conservation Act, approval is granted to Dorset Exploration Ltd. to drill and complete one horizontal well in the Lower Watrous-Alida Beds, underlying the south half of Section W2M, in accordance with plans filed with Saskatchewan Energy and Mines as Document No. H.W. 490 and subject to the following: 1 Good production practice is approved. Dated at Regina, Saskatchewan, February 13, OTHER AREAS SALT WATER DISPOSAL MRO 141/96. Pursuant to section 17.1 of The Oil and Gas Conservation Act, MRO 951/94, dated November 9, 1994 is rescinded, and the application submitted by Sceptre Resources Limited for disposing of salt water recovered from oilfield production by injection into the Lloydminster/Cummings and Dina Sand through the well Sceptre Murphy T Flags N A is approved, in accordance with plans and specifications filed with the Department as Document No. S.W.D. 434 and subject to the following:

4 164 THE SASKATCHEWAN GAZETTE 1 Installations shall be subject to the approval of a field representative of the Department prior to the commencement of salt water injection and subsequent to any modifications to such installations. 2 The wellhead injection pressure shall be limited to a maximum of kilopascals. 3 All injection volumes shall be metered with a Department approved method. 4 The Dina Sand shall be the reporting zone for all injected salt water. This approval does not authorize the applicant to dispose of salt water without the consent of all the mineral owners, other than the Crown, that might reasonably be adversely affected by such disposal. Dated at Regina, Saskatchewan, February 15, HANDSWORTH ALIDA BEDS POOL GOOD PRODUCTION PRACTICE MRO 142/96. Pursuant to section 17 of The Oil and Gas Conservation Act, approval is granted to PanAtlas Energy Inc. to produce the wells: PanAtlas et al Handsworth 2HZ 3B D ; PanAtlas et al Handsworth 2HZ 4C7-24-2A ; PanAtlas et al Handsworth HZ 4D7-24-4B ; according to good production practice. Dated at Regina, Saskatchewan, February 12, OTHER AREAS SALT WATER DISPOSAL MRO 143/96. Pursuant to section 17.1 of The Oil and Gas Conservation Act, the application submitted by Poco Petroleums Ltd. for disposing of salt water recovered from oilfield production by injection into the Mannville Formation through the well located on legal subdivision 5 of Section W2M is approved, in accordance with plans and specifications filed with the Department as Document No. S.W.D. 498 and subject to the following: 1 Installations shall be subject to the approval of a field representative of the Department prior to the commencement of salt water injection and subsequent to any modifications to such installations. 2 The wellhead injection pressure shall be limited to a maximum of kilopascals. 3 All injection volumes shall be metered with a Department approved method. 4 An application to plugback must be applied for and approved through the Department field office prior to re-completing the above well for salt water disposal. This approval does not authorize the applicant to dispose of salt water without the consent of all the mineral owners, other than the Crown, that might reasonably be adversely affected by such disposal. Pursuant to section 27 of The Oil and Gas Conservation Act, approval is granted to Renaissance Energy Ltd. to drill an off-target oil well located at W3M, subject to the following: 1 The maximum allowable rate of production will be calculated without penalty. Dated at Regina, Saskatchewan, February 12, LOVERNA NORTH MANNVILLE SAND GAS POOL LOVERNA NORTH BAKKEN SAND GAS POOL MRO 145/96 PO 12. Pursuant to section 17 of The Oil and Gas Conservation Act, MRO 72/94 PO 5, dated January 27, 1994 is rescinded, and the following provisions shall apply to the drilling of, and the production from, gas wells in the Loverna North Mannville Sand Gas Pool and the Loverna North Bakken Sand Gas Pool, effective March 1, 1996: 1 The drainage unit shall be one Section with the exception of the following lands west of the Third Meridian: in Township 32, in Range 29: Section 1, fractional Sections 2 and 11, Section 12: in which the drainage unit shall be the fractional Section of approximately 79 ha plus the full Section located directly east. 2 The target area shall have sides located 500 m from and parallel to the corresponding sides of the drainage unit. 3 If a well is not completed within the target area, the minister may reduce the area used as a factor in determining the production allowable. Pursuant to sections 17 and 27 of The Oil and Gas Conservation Act and subsection 30(2) of The Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations, 1985, approval is granted to Carmanah Resources Ltd. to drill an off-target oil well located at W3M, subject to the following: 1 Good production practice is approved.
