FIRE COMPANY REPORTS March 1 Coffee and Cake Night with the volunteers. Extended an invitation to the Fire Commissioners. VI. CORRESPONDENCE The following member was sworn into the Fire Company: o Robert Lynch (Fire) The following members changed their status from the Fire Company: o Kevin Schmitt and Christopher Hann (Social Appointed to Career staff) Motion to add the add the above to the District Rolls and to change those that have changed their status to the District Rolls. Chief - Christopher Maeder Addition of two career staff Executive session related to medical history of a particular person NAS Drive Delivered Surplus equipment o 1/27/18 AFG Grants o Two submitted. One for ladder, one for training B. Treasurers report No Treasurer s Report for January. Accept the Accounts Payable abstract for the February 6, 2018 meeting. 3 Upon Motion made by Commissioner Grace and seconded by Commissioner Milanese and after discussion held, the following resolution was approved: Be it resolved to pay all bills as approved by the commissioners on each specific bill presented at this meeting. All purchases complied with the procurement policy of the fire district and all necessary bids/quotes were obtained prior to recommendation for approval. All of the commissioners in attendance were presented with bills and attached vouchers. Each commissioner approved the bills indicated on such vouchers. Audits of the bills were completed except as discussed in these minutes, no discrepancies or issues were noted. The amended abstract total of $72, was approved for payment. Attorney Report: Fairview Commons and Dalia Project Update o January meeting there were two resolutions, discussion for executive session. o Suggested adopting a resolution in support of the EMS Billing bill & sending copies to local legislators showing Fairview s support of why these fees are important. Motion to draft EMS Billing support resolution. Check Audit Committee: Commissioners Doxsey and Grace November and December 2017 audits complete. No problems found. C. Computer Committee: Commissioner Grace and Lewis / Chief Maeder NAS drive was purchased and should be installed this week. D. Election Committee: Commissioners Milanese and Lewis / Secretary E. FFD Hyde Park/Poughkeepsie Representation: Commissioners Doxsey and Diaz/P.E.C. Lewis F. Fiscal Committee: Commissioners Milanese and Grace / Chief Maeder / Treasurer G. Grant Committee: Chief Maeder/Commissioner Milanese H. Negotiating Committee: Commissioners Doxsey I. Personnel Committee: Chief Maeder/Commissioners Calamari and Milanese Introduce 2 new career firefighters. (Took place at the beginning of the meeting) J. Policy Committee: Chief Maeder/Commissioner Calamari Commissioner Doxsey inquired about Fairview s social media policy. Chief Maeder stated that Fairview currently does not have any issues with social media as it is covered in the Mission and Values statement. Everything has to be passed through the Chief first. If it becomes necessary to implement one, he has a draft on hand. K. Property Committee: Commissioners Milanese and Grace / Chief Maeder L. Records Retention Committee: Commissioner Doxsey and Lewis / Secretary Not able to apply for grant this round.
