Attended by 17 people: See attached sign-in sheet ARROYO SECO ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION FEASIBILITY STUDY Cung Nguyen from the Los Angeles County Flood Control District (LACFCD) and Priyanka Wadhawan from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) provided an update on the Arroyo Seco Ecosystem Restoration Feasibility Study (Study): The County and Corps have held individual meetings with the local stakeholders including City of Los Angeles, City of La Cañada Flintridge, City of Pasadena, and City of South Pasadena. The LACFCD s CEQA public meeting will be on April 29, 2015 from 6:30-8:30 pm at the South Pasadena Public Library. Handouts for the CEQA meeting were also provided. The Study is moving towards the Corp s Alternative Milestone on May 12, 2015; various alternatives are being evaluated and narrowed down for each of the 8 reaches in the Study OTHER ITEMS Colleen Oinuma from Congressman Adam Schiff s office informed the group that Congressman Schiff is hosting a presentation on the National Park Service Draft Rim of the Valley Study on April 27, 2015 at 6:30m at Descanso Gardens Flyer attached The City of Pasadena provided the following updates: o The Hahamonga Watershed Park Advisory Committee Meeting will be on May 26 th at 6pm. 2015_04_23 meeting summary.docx Page 1 of 2

Reminder First Public Meeting is Tuesday, April 21 The first public meeting for the National Park Service's (NPS) Rim of the Valley Draft Special Resource Study and Environmental Assessment is this coming Tuesday, April 21 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (PDT). This will be a virtual/online meeting, so anyone with a phone and Internet access can participate from anywhere. Please see our website for details about how to participate. As a reminder, the executive summary newsletter, full draft report, and link to the NPS online public comment system are available on the study website: If you requested a hard copy of the full study report, it will be mailed to you in the next week. Copies of the executive summary newsletter have also been mailed to those of you on our mailing list who have not requested online only materials. A Spanish language version of the executive summary will soon be available on the website as well. Comments on the draft study report must be submitted by June 30, Your continued involvement will assist the National Park Service in finalizing this report, and in determining the final study recommendations. The final outcome of the study will be the transmittal of the final report from the Secretary of the Interior to Congress, along with the Secretary's recommendations for the area. We look forward to hearing from you! The NPS will host a series of public meetings throughout the study area to present the draft study report, answer questions, and accept comments.
