Lakebridge Lakemont Manor Amber Village Lakemont Trace Granite Trail Lakemont Meadows 7111 Sagebranch Ct. Summer is here, let s keep our kids safe! As the Houston summer heat sets in there is no doubt many of us will be heading to the community pools for a little relief. Although the pools and play areas can be a great source of entertainment for us and our children it s important to remember some key safety tips to keep our kids safe this summer. It s important to know the warning signs for heat exhaustion: heavy sweating, paleness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, muscle cramps or fainting. Stay close, be alert and watch your children when at the pool or the playground. Do not consider your child drown proof just because they have taken swim lessons. Floatation devices are not a suitable substitute for supervision when your child is in the water. Teach your child basic pool safety tips like no running, no diving in shallow water and no horseplay in the pool area. Be courteous and respectful of your neighbors and other children while at the playground and pool. Congratulations to these Yard of the Month recipients for May 2011! Good Luck next month. You might be picked next! Copyright 2011 Peel, Inc. Lakemont Living - June
