Located on the front table will be forms entitled, Speaker Request Form. Please fill one out indicating your name and address and the agenda item or topic you wish to discuss. After completing the form, return it to the Assistant Business Administrator. Thank you for your cooperation. I. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER The meeting will be called to order in the Media Center at Lincoln Roosevelt School. II. EXECUTIVE SESSION The board members will adjourn to Executive Session in the Media Center at Lincoln Roosevelt School to discuss personnel, student matters, negotiations and matters covered by attorney client privilege. Action may be taken when the Board returns to Public Session. III. IV. ROLL CALL PUBLIC SESSION The Roxbury Township Board of Education is meeting in Regular Session for discussion on business before the Board tonight. The New Jersey Open Public Meetings Law was enacted to insure the public s right to have advance notice of and to attend meetings of public bodies at which business affecting their interest is discussed or acted upon. In accordance with the provisions of the Act, the Board has caused written notice of this meeting and copies of its agenda to be sent to: Roxbury Register - Newspaper Municipal Clerk Daily Record - Newspaper Roxbury Public Library Roxbury Web Site - The notice of tonight s meeting and a copy of tonight s agenda have been posted in the Board s Business office.

RESOLVED, that the Roxbury Township Board of Education, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:19-4, does certify that no line item account has encumbrances and expenditures which in total exceed the line item appropriation, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:17-9 and N.J.S.A. 18A:17-36, after review of the Board Secretary s and Treasurer s monthly financial reports, that no major accounts and fund balances in the 2014/2015 budget have been over expended and that sufficient funds are available to meet the district s financial obligations for the remainder of the fiscal year. TRAVEL REQUESTS *6. RESOLVED, that the Roxbury Township Board of Education approve unavoidable travel costs as related in this resolution which are educationally necessary and fiscally prudent and are related to and within the scope of the employee s current responsibilities and promotes the delivery of instruction or furthers the efficient operation of the school district. The reimbursements listed in this resolution are in compliance with the state travel reimbursement guidelines as established by the Department of the Treasury and Board of Education policy in accordance with N.J.A.C. 6A:23B-1.1 et. seq. The Superintendent, in consultation with the School Business Administrator/Board Secretary, recommends that the Board accept the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and Auditor s Management Report for the period July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014 as prepared by Nisivoccia & Company, LLP. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Roxbury Township Board of Education approve the Corrective Action Plan as presented. B. Education (Resolutions 1-3) HIB REPORT *1. RESOLVED, that the Roxbury Township Board of Education acknowledges receipt of the Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying Report ending December 12, FIELD TRIPS *2. RESOLVED, that staff and students be approved for participation in the following educational events as per Board policy. 6 C. Personnel (Resolutions 1-18) LEAVES OF ABSENCE *1. RESOLVED, that Ms. Barbra Hardy, Mathematics Teacher at Roxbury High School, be granted a leave of absence effective March 1, 2015, or sooner if necessary, using forty-four (44) available sick days until released by her physician and, thereafter, an unpaid leave of absence under the NJ Family Leave Act through June 30, RESOLVED, that Ms. Margaret Conway, Second Grade Teacher at the Franklin School, be granted a leave of absence retroactive to December 10, 2014 using available sick days until released by her physician APPOINTMENTS *3. RESOLVED, that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent the Employment Contract between the Roxbury Board of Education and Ms. Susan Joyce is contingent on the approval of the Executive County Superintendent for the County of Morris; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Ms. Susan Joyce be and is hereby retained as School Business Administrator/Board Secretary by the Roxbury Board of Education pursuant to an Employment Contract commencing on February 16, 2015 or sooner, pending release from current district, through June 30, 2015 at an annual salary of $140,000 (prorated) for the 2014/2015 school year; AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Employment Contract is hereby approved by the Board and that the Board President and the Board Secretary are authorized to sign the Contract on behalf of the Board. 4. RESOLVED, that Ms. Brandi Gibbs be appointed to the position of leave replacement Special Education Teacher for the Nixon School effective January 6, 2015 or sooner, if necessary, through May 29, 2015 and thereafter on an as-needed basis for the 2014/2015 school year. Ms. Gibbs is replacing Ms. Dawn Riggins who is on a leave of absence. Degree: BA, Rider University, 2004 Certification: Elementary School Teacher Teacher of Students with Disabilities Salary: Step 1 of the 2013/2014 BA Guide, $50,802 (prorated) (Step and salary to be determined pending completion of negotiations) A background check, as required by State law, has been completed. *Mt. 7 5. RESOLVED, that Ms. Carisa DiBenedetto be appointed to the position of P/T Autistic Aide at the Eisenhower Middle School effective December 16, 2014 for the 2014/2015 school year. This is a new position. Salary: Step 3 of the 2013/2014 Paraprofessional Guide - $15.78/Hour 24½ Hours/Week (not to exceed 25 Hours/Week) (pending completion of negotiations) A background search as required by State law has been successfully completed. 6. RESOLVED, that Ms. Kellie Ann Keyes be appointed to the position of P/T Special Education Aide at the Lincoln/Roosevelt School effective December 16, 2014 for the 2014/2015 school year. This is a new position. Salary: Step 3 of the 2013/2014 Paraprofessional Guide - $15.78/Hour 18 Hours/Week (not to exceed 25 Hours/Week) (pending completion of negotiations) A background search as required by State law has been successfully completed. 7. RESOLVED, that Ms. Laura Ratigan be appointed to the position of P/T Special Education Aide at the Franklin and Kennedy Schools (home base is Franklin School) effective December 16, 2014 for the 2014/2015 school year. This is a new position. Salary: Step 1 of the 2013/2014 Paraprofessional Guide - $14.55/Hour 20 Hours/Week (not to exceed 25 Hours/Week) (pending completion of negotiations) A background search as required by State law has been successfully completed. *8. RESOLVED, that Mr. Jason Stoia be appointed to the position of Maintenance Worker in Buildings and Grounds at Roxbury High School effective January 5, 2015 for the 2014/2015 school year. Mr. Stoia is replacing Mr. Michael Bizzari who retired. Salary: $55,000 pro-rated A background search as required by State law has been successfully completed. *9. WHEREAS, Chapter 231, P.L. 1975, also known as the Sunshine Law, authorizes a public body to meet in Executive Session under certain limited circumstances; and WHEREAS, said law requires the Board of Education to adopt a resolution at a public meeting before it can meet in such an Executive Session; and WHEREAS, the Board of Education is anticipating to hold a Reorganizational Meeting on January 5, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at Lincoln Roosevelt School; and WHEREAS, the Board of Education intends to discuss matters in Executive Session at this meeting; *Mt.
