3 President's Message Our meeting program this month will be on sharpening, presented by Dave Seidler. It promises to be up to his usual superb standards. He uses a system known as Work Sharp and that will be the topic of his presentation. The challenge for this month is Something that flies. We were to have shop tours on January 5 th but they were canceled due to a scheduling mix-up. We were to visit the shops of Brad Ormsby and Rob Hobmann; they will be rescheduled. On the 12 th, Dave Seidler is hosting the second presentation of his skill building workshop on making a box with miter corners and splines. The February skill building workshop will be on router bit storage. Watch for Whoozin invites for signup opportunities. Tom Welz is looking for volunteers for the election to be held at the February meeting. Consider serving the club by being on the board for a year. It is very enlightening to see the inner workings of the club. Arlen Arlen Handberg President Conejo Valley Woodworkers Association Issue #267 Page 3

When interviewed, Stephen Case- Pall reportedly had no explanation. His wife Deena was too grief stricken to comment. His family said We just saw him a couple weeks ago and he seemed to be in good spirits Friends and relatives remarked We knew he was getting on in years, but we had no idea it had come to this! Stephen Case- Pall, eighty years on the 24 th What Next? Incidentally there has been a huge run on prunes at the local Camarillo grocery stores. Issue #267 Page 5
