This yer our theme is Stronger Together in Times of Chnge. This builds on our Stronger Together strtegic intent. As the culture we re immersed in continues to chnge, so does the bility for us to mintin the vision nd mission of our schools. 3 1 ATTENDANCE The Annul Generl Meeting is vitl spect of the Ntionl Conference. It is the officil decision mking vehicle for member ssocitions of Christin Eduction Ntionl. Officil representtives re entitled to spek on behlf of their ssocitions. However, this is lso n open conference nd dditionl members of ssocitions nd other interested persons re encourged to ttend s observers. Observers my spek with the specil pprovl of the meeting. The following re invited to ttend the AGM in n officil cpcity: one representtive from ech member ssocition; stte/territory executive officers; directors of Christin Eduction Ntionl; one representtive from ech Christin Eduction Ntionl stnding committee. Plese ensure tht registrtion forms for ech person ttending the AGM re submitted to the ntionl office by the due dte. 2 VOTING Officil representtives from member ssocitions re entitled to vote. Stte/territory executive officers nd directors of the Ntionl Bord re entitled to prticipte in debte but re not entitled to vote. 3 EXPENSES AGM levies pply, ccording to 3 tier schedule. Plese refer to the 2016 tble below to determine the AGM levy tht will be chrged to your ssocition. This levy covers the conference fee of one officil delegte from your ssocition. Additionl non officil delegtes will be chrged t $270 plus GST for the event. Plese note tht trvel costs re no longer climble nd tht there is set reduced levy for WA nd NT ssocitions. 4 4 TRAVEL Flights All delegtes re required to book their own flights s soon s possible to obtin the best prices nd flight options. We hve found tht the best rtes cn usully be obtined by booking over the internet. The Ibis Eglehwk Resort is pproximtely 20 minutes from Cnberr Airport, so to rrive on time you will need to ensure tht your flight rrives in Cnberr before 9:15 m on Sturdy 21 My. Your return flight from Cnberr should not deprt before 2:00 pm on Sundy 22 My. Trnsit Arrngements In the pst we hve rrnged shuttle buses for trnsit purposes. This hs proven to be overly suitble to our needs. Plese tke txi from the irport to the venue (cr-pooling with others is good ide). Txi fres re ble to be climed through the ntionl office following the conference. We will run two buses on the Sundy t the closing of the conference. One will hed to the irport (it will deprt by 12.15pm) nd the other will tke delegtes who re ttending the AACS AGM nd / or Policy Forum to the Hytt Hotel in Cnberr. 5 ACCOMMODATION The 2016 Ntionl Conference is residentil. It is nticipted tht ll ttendees will tke dvntge of this unique opportunity to spend time together building the vitl, helthy, ntionl community envisged by our biblicl vlues nd vision. The Ibis Eglehwk Resort hs been booked on this expecttion. The Ibis Eglehwk Resort is locted in North Cnberr on the NSW border in n ttrctive rurl setting 15 minutes from the Cnberr city centre. Accommodtion is in comfortble hotel rooms, ll with ensuites, nd some with grden views. 6 CREDENTIALS nd PROXIES Plese note tht officil (voting) representtives re required to present their credentils form upon rrivl. Officil representtives will not be recognised without credentils, so plese ensure tht ll detils, including signtures, re completed prior to rrivl. 5 BOARD VACANCIES AND NOMINATION INFORMATION Nomintion of directors The Constitution of Christin Eduction Ntionl Limited provides for the election of eight directors to serve on its bord nd up to two ppointed directors. Directors my be re-elected or reppointed s Directors provided their period of service s Director does not exceed period of nine (9) consecutive yers. Appointed directors serve only until the AGM following their ppointment.
