Would like other Time: 8:06 8:10 jurisdictions within Caledonia schools to help pay for the Resource officer. Thanks to the Sheriff Dept for increased patrols in Alaska. Harrison Agri-business community in Kent County promoting ways to add value to farming and agriculture. 8 Resolution No. CHARTER TOWNSIP OF CALEDONIA KENT COUNTY, MICHIGAN RESOLUTION TO APPROVE LAND ACQUISITIOIN PROJECT AGREEMENT WITH THE MICHGIAN DEPARTMEN T OF NATURAL RESOURCES Minutes of a regular meeting of the Charter Township of Caledonia, held in the Caledonia Township Hall, located at 8196 Broadmoor Ave., SE Caledonia, Michigan on the 4 th day of May, 26 at 7:00 PM local time. PRESENT: Members: ABSENT: Members: The following resolution was offered by Member and supported by Member. WHEREAS, on March 18, 25, the Caledonia Board of Trustees approved submission of a grant request to the Michigan DNR Trust Fund seeking funding to acquire 25.3 acres of land adjacent to the Caledonia Township Library and the Kent County Lakeside Park; and WHEREAS, the MDNR has awarded Grant TF to the Township to cover up to 70 per cent ($945,000) of the cost of the acquisition, estimated at $ 1,350,000: and WHEREAS, funding for the 30 percent local match is being provided for by the Charter Township of Caledonia: and WHEREAS, to proceed with the grant award, the MDNR requires a resolution by the Charter Township of Caledonia Board of Trustees indicating acceptance of the terms in the Project Agreement, including the appropriation of required funds; and WHEREAS, the 26 General Fund Budget for the Charter Township of Caledonia appropriates sufficient funds for the Land Acquisition Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Charter Township of Caledonia hereby approves a Land Acquisition Project Agreement with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources for the acquisition of 25.3 acres, creates the Northshore Acquisition Project in the Parks and Recreation Department of the 26 General Fund Budget, and appropriates $945,000 from the MDNR and $405,000 from the General Fund of the Charter Township of Caledonia.
