I've been participating in many A cultural diversity subcommittee had their first meeting last week which had a good attendance. Different issues won't actually be discussed until next week. MSUSA conference was discussed at the last Senate meeting. I will work on getting a schedule together that will show each organizational meeting. 4 Enrollment Management Jenny Stickler Motion # Voog/McCoy Whereas: The recent 1 credit tuition waiver for performance classes (e.g. athletics, music) has been approved by MnSCU. Whereas the criteria for such waivers is dependent upon said classes adding to MSUM through involving the community and enhancing this campus Whereas undergraduate research credit enhances this campus by providing excellent preparatory methods for future alumni, while providing equipment for all students. Be it resolved: that student senate strongly recommend to the administration that biology sponsored undergraduate research credits be included in this tuition waiver. Motion Passes Unanimously. Motion #18-03 Voog/McCoy Whereas club sports are recognized by the Center for Leadership as MSUM clubs. Whereas MSUM clubs should be allowed to reserve gym space at Nemzek Be it resolved that club sports be allowed to reserve gym spots at Nemzek Motion Tabled to CA Motion #19-03 Exec

5 Whereas two of the "Speak Your Mind Boards" are out of paper Whereas we need paper for a student senate goal board to place in the office Be it resolved that student senate allocate up to $25 for these materials. Motion Passes Unanimously Motion #20-03 Leg/Internal Be it resolved the student senate adopt the senatorial training bylaw. (See office for copy) Motion Passes Unanimously. Points for the Good of the Order Ohnstad: Is all the note passing necessary? Bergley: I cleaned the office. Keep it clean. Voog: Thanks for passing the tuition and fees motion. Olerud: Thanks for supporting my bylaws. Owen: Thanks Bergley for working so hard on homecoming. Bjornson: Bergley did a lot of hard work. Wicker: Participation during homecoming was awesome. Hartje: MSUSA-great sign up sheet. Senate retreat is Nov 2 and 3. Discussions not that great on all the motions. Attendance has been poor. Announcements Voog: Roberts rules of order next week.
