3 1 Attendance An attendance list for the WG10 meeting is documented in WG10/N WG7 & WG10 Joint Plenary Sessions Joint WG7 & WG10 plenary sessions were held during Monday and Wednesday The first joint plenary session was opened by the WG10 convenor. Our host, the Israel Standardisation body welcomed the delegates to the meeting. Status reports were presented on Part 5 publication status due to some communication problems between JTC1, SC7 and the WG10 project editor, part 5 had not yet been published. This is now in hand and publication is due at any time TR to IS requirements and development strategy 59 comments had been received on drafts circulated to WG10 members. These comments will be resolved during the week is expected to be published as an IS by revision requirements and project plan the WG project editor provided a presentation on the short and medium term plans. The relevant documents were made available to WG10 delegates for information development WD4 was recently issued. Expectations are that WD5 will be available between this meeting and Curitiba. WG13 Software measurement process the liaison representative from WG13 provided a brief status report on activities and looked for cooperation between WG13 and WG7 & WG10. An informative presentation was given on the ballot currently out with SC7 to subdivide project to develop an amendment to for acquisition processes. The ballot will be complete before Curitiba. Previous information has been presented as WG10/N271. The SC7 ballot document been distributed by SC7 to national bodies. Information was provided by the convenors of WG7 & WG10 to the effect that they had been in communication regarding the outstanding issues on process repository and better aligning of & work in their revisions. A joint communique from the WG7 & WG10 Conveners was provided to delegates We the conveners of WG7 & WG10 agree on the following strategy to harmonize and in the short time and 12207, and in the long time Address reply to: Secretariat

4 1. A reference process repository shall be developed. 2. SC7 standards may compound or extend these reference processes for their own viewpoints. 3. Initially processes shall be left out of the reference process repository & revisions shall align with the reference process repository before publication. 5. The reference process repository shall be an SC7 Standard developed under JTC1 normal procedures WG7 & WG10 recognized the joint communique tabled by the WG7 & WG10 convenors and requested that the convenors forward the convenors joint communique to the SC7 Chair as input to the current BPG process repository discussions. A presentation was given by Jonathan Earthy from ISO/TC regarding the usability maturity model and its potential interrelationship with 12207, and in their current revisions. The presentation is provided as WG10/N276. A presentation was given on the SPICE trials activity by Inigo Garro, one of the two international trial coordinators. The presentation is provided as WG10/N275. WG10 s main task during the week was to provide a disposition of comments on WG10/N259 & N260. Following the joint plenary session WG10 continued to progress this work. 3 WG10 Plenary Session Work was completed during the week in resolving all comments on WG10/N259 and WG10/N260. The disposition of comments is documented as WG10/N273. The DRAFT revised requirements and development strategy is documented as WG10/N274. Following the completion of two outstanding paragraphs N274 will be placed on the WG10 WebBoard for one week for information after which it will be sent to SC7 for distribution to national bodies on 30 days circulation before the SC7 plenary meeting in Curitiba. Any comments on N274 should be brought to the WG10 Curitiba meeting at which comments will be addressed. A proposed resolution will then be made by SC7 to distribute for 30 days circulation for automatic adoption in the absence of significant objections. In preparation to commence work on both the amendment, and the TR to IS revision, WG10 formally established the following WG10 Special Working Groups (SGs): Address reply to: Secretariat

5 SG10 Part 10: Reference model extensions for acquirer processes SG11 Part 1: Concepts and vocabulary SG12 Part 2: Requirements SG13 Part 3: Guide to performing an assessment SG14 Part 4: Guide to the use of assessment results SG15 Part 5: An exemplar model for assessment As a result SGs 1-9 are now formally closed The following WG10/SG Sub-Project Editors were recommended to be put forward into an SC7 resolution for adoption in Curitiba pending approval of work items : SG10 Alec Dorling (UK) SG11 Catriona Mackie (UK), Kiyoshi Ogawa (Japan) SG12 Harry Barker (UK), Al Graydon (Canada) SG13 Steve Masters (US), Antonio Coletta (Italy) SG14 Andy Beitz (Germany), Paul Rogoway (Israel) SG15 Jean-Martin Simon (France) WG10 authorises the recommended sub editors to commence preliminary work for the early implementation of the revision project. Following the establishment of the WG10 WebBoard facility, certain national body and liaison bodies had requested that their national WG10 shadow expert groups be allowed access to the WebBoard. The WG10 convenor had checked with the SC7 Chair and this was ok according to procedures. WG10 agreed therefore to allow national body WG10 experts access to the WG10 WebBoard. Only named individuals provided by the national body SC7 advisory group representative or liaison group representative to the WG10 convenor will be accepted for access to thw WG10 WebBoard. It is noted that all voting within WG10 will only be done at formally convened WG10 meetings. The Japanese national body presented a status report on activities in Japan and also information on translation of to Japanese. Japan had found some difficulties with translation and also had found a number of defects with These defects are documented for information purposes as WG10/N278. The overall presentation is documented as WG10/N277. A further update was provided on the status of the SPICE trials following work completed during the week. The main work had been setting up data collection procedures, review of assessor questionnaire to be finalised next week and baselined on 19 april followed by testing period, review of data collection tools which will be complete by Curitiba, producing the first draft of trials database design and revision of RTC tasks.
