Roll was called. Present were Trustees Buergel, Ceretto, Dujsik, Engelbrecht, Olson, Schneider, and President McKendree. A quorum was present. Ms. Swanson, Library Director; Ms. Trela, Circulation/Technical Service Manager; Ms. Pajor, Adult Services Manager; Ms. Malysa, Youth Services Manager; Ms. Regan, Business Manager; Mr. Hoge, Maintenance Mechanic; Mr. Philip Wade of Morris Wade Inc., and Mr. Poremba, and Mr. Buergel public were also in attendance. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. M INU T ES: The minutes of the May 8, 2012 regular meeting were presented for disposition. Motion made by Trustee Dujsik, seconded by Trustee Olson, to approve the minutes of the May 8, 2012 regular meeting as presented. Motion carried by voice vote 7-0. The minutes of the June 5, 2012 Committee of the Whole meeting were presented for disposition. Motion made by Trustee Ceretto, seconded by Trustee Olson, to approve the minutes of the June 5, 2012 Committee of the Whole meeting as presented. Motion carried by voice vote 7-0. No Report. : No Report. V I C E PR ESID E N T: No Report. SE C R E T A R Y : No Report. T R E ASUR E R: Trustee Ceretto presented the financial report dated May 2012 for approval. Motion made by Trustee Buergel, seconded by Trustee Dujsik, to accept and place on file May 2012, as presented. Motion carried by voice vote 7-0. F IN A N C E: A list of bills dated June 12, 2012 was presented for payment. Motion made by Trustee Buergel, seconded by Trustee Dujsik, to authorize and approve payment of the June 12, 2012 bills in the amount of $921, Roll #1 was called.

PAR. 16 PAR. 17 PAR. 18 PAR. 19 PAR. 20 PAR. 21 PAR. 22 PAR. 23 PAR. 24 PAR. 25 PAR. 26 PAR. 27 PAR. 28 PAR. 29 BUI L DIN G A ND G R O UNDS: Mr. Wade handed out the updated cost report ending May 31, 2012 and the monthly board report from Nicholas & Associates. Reports are attached. Mr. Wade reported again that based on the current schedule from Nicholas & Associates, the new building shows a completion date of December 10, He reported that in the next couple of weeks the first course of asphalt should be poured in the north parking lot and the elevators should be delivered in the next week or so. He also pointed out that the large white box located on the northeast corner of the ce of equipment. He went on to report that most of the metal stud framing is complete on the first floor, and work has started on the lower level. Mr. Wade stated the walk-through is all set for Friday June 15, 2012 at 1:00 pm. He informed the trustees that he would not be able to attend this walk-through, but Mr. Jeff Zurlinden of Nicholas & Associates would be there to guide them. Mr. Wade discussed the current cost report. Mr. Wade asked for approval of the contract with Blue Line Security LLC to provide security at the library construction site. Trustee Ceretto left the room at 7:59 p.m. Trustee Ceretto returned at 8:03 p.m. Motion made by Trustee Engelbrecht, seconded by Trustee Ceretto, to approve the contract with Blue Line Security LLC as amended, with Page 1, Paragraph No. 5, 2.(b) to read: Starting June 6, 2012, from 6:00 pm. - 6:00 am. Monday through Fridays and 24 hour security on Saturdays and Sundays. Until the morning of July 12, 2012 at 6:00 am. by President McKendree. Motion carried 6-1. Mr. Wade asked for approval of the contracts with the furniture vendors: Interior Investments, Al Treiber Associates, and Environments That Work, as presented. Discussion occurred regarding the question of sales tax and the alternates listed in the furniture vendor s contracts. Motion made by Trustee Schneider, seconded by Trustee Buergel, to table the approval of the contracts with the furniture vendors until the next regular board meeting.

3 PAR. 30 Trustees would like a meeting with Ms. Keppler of Dewberry Architects to obtain further ** explanation regarding the various alternates listed in the furniture vendor s contracts and to be informed of the existing furniture that will be used in the new building. Trustee Schneider requested her motion be withdrawn. Hearing no objections, the motion to table the approval of the contracts with the furniture vendors is withdrawn. Motion made by Trustee Ceretto, seconded by Trustee Olson, to accept the base bid amounts of Bid package #1 from Al Treiber Associates in the amount of $172,620.20, Bid package #2 from Interior Investments in the amount of $333,962.00, and Bid package #3 from Environments That Work in the amount of $59,914.40, with the stipulation that no sales tax is charged in any of the bid packages. Motion made by Trustee Dujsik, seconded by Trustee Ceretto, to accept the proposal from Wilson Company for phone system consulting with a cost not to exceed $4,000.00, and pending Mr. Wade Roll #4 was called. President McKendree. by Trustee Schneider. Motion carried 6-1. Mr. Wade asked for approval of a color for the outdoor benches, trash receptacles, and bike racks. Motion made by Trustee Dujsik, seconded by President McKendree, and Trustee 6`vertical slat with arms exterior benches, and the Urbanscape Covington 32 gallon vertical slat exterior trash receptacle with flat top lid without the scrolls, and the color es Capitol Bike Racks. Roll #5 was called. Voting - 0. President McKendree asked Mr. Wade if power will be provided for a possible sculpture or fountain in the outside square at the new library. Mr. Wade reported that empty conduit will be run out to that area and will be buried so that the provision will be there if the board decides at some point in the future to install a sculpture or a fountain needing power. Mr. Wade left at 9:02 pm.

President McKendree stated the policy changes should be reviewed as a board and suggested meeting in the fall of 2012 when the board will have more time to dedicate to this matter. Hearing no objections, it was so moved. B Y-L A WS: Trustee Engelbrecht handed out updated copies of the revised By-Laws for all trustees to review. Trustee Engelbrecht noted all changes and revisions in red. Trustee Dujsik and Trustee Olson announced that they would not be attending the regular board meeting on July 10, Motion made by President McKendree, seconded by Trustee Dujsik, and Ceretto, to approve early closure of the library on July 3, 2012 at 5:00 pm., as presented. Roll #9 was - 0. Motion made by President McKendree, seconded by Trustees Dujsik, and Olson, to adopt the Salary Schedule for fiscal year , as presented. Motion carried by voice vote 7 0. PUB L I C DISC USSI O N: No Report. Motion made by President McKendree to move to executive session at 9:30 pm. for the purpose of discussing personnel. Hearing no objections, it was so moved. President McKendree reconvened the meeting at 9:48 pm. Roll was called. Present were Trustees Buergel, Engelbrecht, Ceretto, Dujsik, Olson, Schneider and President McKendree. A quorum was present. Motion made by Trustee Ceretto, seconded by Trustee Buergel, to adjourn the meeting 9:49 pm. Motion carried by voice vote 7-0.
