1 T Minnesota Counties Computer Cooperative 100 Empire Drive, Suite 201 Phone (651) St Paul MN Fax (651) Website: mnccc.org Corrections Executive Committee Meeting 7/16/14 Present: Elizabeth Brokaw, Tim Cleveland, Judith Franklin, Dan Galbraith, Robert Hiivala, Sherry Hill, Deb Kerschner, Brian Kopperud, Warren Liepitz, Tim MacMillan, Lisa Meredith, Dan Pepper, Les Schultz, Jon Ramlo, Carl Thelen, Dan Traun, and Bret Wiski 1. Call to order: Chair Brian Kopperud called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and welcomed new Recording Secretary, Elizabeth Brokaw. Introductions were made. 2. Agenda & Minutes Additional items were added to the agenda. Dan Traun moved for approval of the agenda; second by Warren Liepitz. Motion carried. Warren Liepitz moved for approval of the minutes from the June 24 th meeting; second by Dan Traun. Motion carried. 3. Updates S3/MnSTARR/Other- Deb Kerschner, DOC: The new sentencing worksheet website is live, and the probation survey results have been published. Discussions have begun regarding use of the MnSTARR assessment in the community. Select data are being provided to the FBI Index project, a pointer system. The BCA provided a developer and the project is tentatively slated for release this fall. CSTS Projects Carl Thelen, STI: Carl provided a draft of the working document for the MNCIS document upload project and a project management update (attached) projects include CISR review, CSTS-SharePoint document integration review, CSTS 3.1 release (testing in September with the wide release in early December), and Smartphone web version release. Projects for 2015 include Juvenile Interstate Transfer and potentially the MNCIS document upload project. 4. Committee Reports The Enhancement Committee will meet in July and discuss Smart Chronos and the MNCIS Document Upload project. The Standards Committee will meet in July and continue updating the Standards Manual. Technical Liaison: No update provided. The JAIMS Committee will meet in July to prioritize features for the next release. The Committee will elect a new chair. The MCCC Liaison stated that the Joint Powers of Agreement was approved and will be distributed in July. Ad-hoc Grant Fund: No update provided. The Case Planning Committee will review the format with the EBP Committee and work with IT on the CSTS/COMS integration piece.
2 5. Financial Status: Dan Traun motioned to approve the financial report; second by Jon Ramlo. Motion carried. 6. Other: Fall User Conference: After discussion, the committee decided not to host a fall conference. Booth at MCA: The committee declined to staff a booth at the 2014 MCA conference. All-Day Executive Committee Meeting: The committee agreed to meet all day in October, and agenda items were proposed: review of census data and agent counts, MCCC Bylaws and Rules review, strategic planning, case planning development, web-based applications, real-time CSTS/DOC integration, STI upgrade path, and purpose/charge of the ad-hoc Grant Committee. Standard Felony Conditions of Probation: The State Court has approved the use of ten standard conditions of probation to be inserted automatically on all felony orders. Judges may add additional special conditions or deselect any of the ten standard conditions. These conditions could be used to create a standardized Probation Agreement. A CSTS document template will be reviewed at the August meeting, and delivery systems will have an opportunity to review the template before it is approved and distributed for use. Dan Traun made a motion to adjourn; second by Warren Liepitz. Meeting adjourned at 11:03 a.m. The next meeting is August 20 th at MCCC.

Tell your probation officer within 72 hours if you change your address, employment, or telephone number. 6. Cooperate with the search of your person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, and things as directed by your probation officer. 7. Sign releases of information as directed. 8. Give a DNA sample when directed. 9. Do not use or possess any firearms, ammunition, or explosives. 10. Do not register to vote, vote, serve on a jury, or hold public office until discharged from probation and your civil rights are fully restored.
