2 Girl Up Girl Up is by girls, for girls girl led and girl driven - and engages girls to create change in our world toward achieving global gender equality. Through our leadership development programs, Girl Up inspires, convenes, trains and connects girls globally, helping to position them as leaders and changemakers. With more than 700,000 supporters, Girl Up girls are a proven force for social good. Our leadership training and skill development programs have created a generation of current and future girl leaders who have helped Girl Up raise millions of dollars for United Nations programs, helped to enact law that support girls worldwide and have shown their schools, friends and communities the true power of girls. Girl Up is hosted at the United Nations Foundation, working within a larger, global community that supports our efforts for gender equality worldwide.

3 Girl Up Leadership Summit 2018 The sixth annual Girl Up Leadership Summit - July 9-11, 2018 in Washington, DC - will convene 350+ girl leaders from across the United States and around the world. The Summit is the iconic conference for developing adolescent girl leaders; and the only by girls, for girls Summit. Participants enjoy an immersive experience and comprehensive programming consisting of three days of prolific speakers, interactive workshops and direct advocacy on Capitol Hill. Through mentorship by Girl Up experts, Teen in core leadership skills, training in communitybuilding and Advisors, celebrity champions and Girl Up partners, participants gain core leadership skills, training in communitybuilding and advocacy, and hands-on opportunities to develop an action plan to achieve their goals. Most importantly, girls connect with and inspire each other a vital ingredient for creating an interconnected network of global change-makers ready to make their mark on the world.
