2 Arrival in Indonesia You will arrive in Indonesia from any International airport. After your arrival you should pass the immigration check. Usually some hours before landing, the flight attendance will distribute the Arrival/Departure Card where you should fill some personal information. Attention! You must show this card during the immigration check in order to get stamp. The immigration officer will keep the part of Arrival Card, while you will get the Departure Card. The Departure Card has to be retained in the passport and submitted to the Immigration Officer on your departure. Keep it carefully and never lost it before leaving Indonesia, otherwise you will get trouble with Indonesian Immigration officer. Visa Matters For those who have the visa already issued from the Indonesian Embassy in your country, you just go directly to immigration check. BUT, for those who do not have visa yet, you should apply for Visa on Arrival (Tourist Visa) which is cost around USD 35. For Japanese, Korean, American, European nationalities, before passing the immigration check you should apply the Visa on Arrival (VoA) which is cost USD 35. Usually it will be long queue, and I would like to recommend you to prepare USD 35 beforehand, because you will not find any money changer before passing the immigration check. Please pay attention! The requirements for applying Visa on Arrival are passport validity has to be of minimum 6 months; applicant should be national of the designated countries; VoA is valid for tourism, social cultural, business and government visit purposes For South-east Asia nationalities (member of ASEAN countries), you are free to enter Indonesia without any visa then you can stay for maximum 30 days but the passport validity has to be minimum 6 months, so check your passport. Just go directly to immigration check. After that just go ahead to take your luggage For Indian, African and Latin America Nationalities, according to Indonesian Immigration Law, you must have visa that you must apply in the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate in your home country. So, please make sure you get the visa before going to Indonesia.

3 Customs After finishing the process with the immigration check, you can directly go to take your luggage. There will be some people with uniform offer a service to take your luggage by offering a trolley, I would like to recommend you not to take that service because it s not free or charge. You can take free trolley there. Then you have to pass the customs and scanning your luggage. WARNING! Death penalty for drug traffickers under Indonesian Law Anything to declare? After collecting your baggage, proceed to the exiting point where your passenger arrival card will be checked by an officer prior to passing through the Customs and the Indonesia quarantine inspection service. What to declare Don t forget to declare any necessary items, as there are severe penalties for failing to declare articles that are prohibited, restricted or for which are required to pay duty/sales tax. 4 Important note: Please return the CONFIRMATION SLIP as soon as possible to Dejavato We will not responsible for those who are coming later than the fixed meeting time. We will not provide any transport or assistance from meeting point to project site. Please be ON TIME!! Emergency Contact Please note that should you not be able to reach the meeting point on time or late, your flight is delayed or you are delayed in transit then please contact the following persons: Emergency Number Name Sigit Ketut Amel Recommendation of Coming Earlier at Meeting Point Accommodation in Yogyakarta If you arrive several days earlier or quite late evening in Yogyakarta city from Jakarta, we recommend you to stay in hotel in the city. You can find many cheap hotels close to airport or Yogyakarta Tugu railway station. a. If you arrive from Yogyakarta Tugu railway station Please get out from the exit gate of the station, and find Jalan Malioboro (Malioboro Street). You can take walk about meters then you will find Jalan Sosrowijayan (Sosrowijayan Street) and Jalan Dagen (Dagen Street). You can find many cheap hotels here, and you can do direct check in. Some hotels names are like Losmen Famili, Wisma Persada, Hotel Puntodewo, Hotel Kristina, Hotel Amarta, Hotel Permata, Penginapan Kunthi, etc. The rate per night is from IDR to IDR (USD 10-21) b. If you arrive from Yogyakarta Airport After you get out from the arrival gate, you can find the hotel counter desk and you can ask the information about the hotels close to the airport. OR you can take a taxi cost about IDR (USD 5) from the airport to Yogyakarta city center and go directly to Jalan Malioboro where you can find Jalan Dagen and Jalan Sosrowijayan with cheap hotels. How to get the meeting point a. If you arrive through Yogyakarta International Airport: When you arrive in Yogyakarta airport, just get out from the arrival gate. Then just go straight to the east direction and find the International Arrival Gate. Next to the International Arrival Gate there is Blue Sky Executive Lounge building. While the meeting point is just in front of Reflexy Room which is located between the international arrival gate and the lounge building.

5 If you find any difficulties, please find airport officers and they will be kindly to show you the meeting point. b. If you arrive through Yogyakarta railway station If you arrive in Yogyakarta railway station, please get out from exit gate, and find taxi service. You can find several taxi companies there. Please find a taxi with the meter. It costs about IDR to IDR (USD 4 or USD 50). Then ask the driver to drive you with the route below: Stasiun Tugu Yogyakarta Jalan Jenderal Sudirman Jalan Solo (Urip Sumoharjo) Jalan Laksda Adisutjipto Yogyakarta Adisutjipto International Airport. After you get out from the taxi, you can take a walk and find the meeting point near to the International Arrival Gate. Availability of Pick-up Service in Semarang - The camp leader will pick up all participants at the meeting point on time. If your arrival is later after the appointment, you are pleased to organize your own transportation to the project site as explained above, and do not forget to confirm to you camp leader.
