1 Russian Visa Application Procedure 1. Apply for an Invitation Please contact your travel supplier (TMC - Travel Management Company) to find out if you need an entry visa to Russian Federation. The list of countries whose citizens are eligible to enter RF without visas is presented on the official web- site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (in Russian only). If you need a visa, your TMC will prepare an invitation for you. For them to be able to do this, you will have to fill in a questionnaire, provided by TMC. Prepare a legible (hi- definition color scan) copy of the informative page of your current valid passport. IMPORTANT: Please send the copy of the very same passport you are going to use for the visa application. Please check the validity of your passport it should be valid at least six months beyond the expiration date of your desired visa (the date you are planning to leave Russia).

2 Send the form and the copy of your passport to Please allow two working days to process your invitation. You will receive the scanned copy of the invitation or the original invitation (your TMC will inform you whether you need the original or not) A SPECIMEN OF THE TOURIST VISA INVITATION YOUR TMC WILL PROVIDE. IMPORTANT: Please remember the invitation is NOT a visa.

3 2. Apply for a Visa For details on how to apply for your visa please visit the web-page of your local Russian Consulate. The list of the web-links (by country) you can find here: IMPORTANT: The consulate will ask you to fill in a Consulate form. The consulate form (visa application form) is at The web page initially might open in Russian: Сlick on the fall-down line Выберите страну and choose a country where you will apply for the visa. Please read carefully all the information provided in the blue field of the page it will help you to avoid any difficulties while completing the form. 4 When you have your visa sticker in your passport, please check immediately: your personal details name, surname, date of birth (DOB), passport number the dates of your visa validity (travel dates). RUSSIAN VISA STICKER (VIGNETTE) SPECIMEN If you see any mistypes, mistakes or discrepancies address the consular officer, or visa center employee. When getting ready to travel please prepare your passport with visa, air ticket, traveler medical insurance policy (please assign some time to get it ahead of departure date), your conference invitation and accommodation vouchers. 5 - Certain medicine - Arms and munition During the flight the cabin crew member (e.g. flight attendant) might offer you to fill in the migration card (if they don t be not shy and ask them. You may also fill it in at the airport before the passport control). This is an important document. You will have to present it to the border guard at the point of entry.
