Types of Visa and consular fees Types of visas: Airport transit visa (A), 60 EURO; Short-term visa (C), 60 EURO; Long-term national visa (D), 60 EURO. There could be Single-entry, double-entry or multiple-entry visas. Consular fee should be paid in cash, Chinese RMB Yuan, based on monthly exchange rate (for inquiry, please refer to Airport transit visa (A) Airport transit visa entitles aliens who are required to have such a visa to pass through the international transit area of airports without actually entering the national territory of the country concerned, during a stop-over or transfer between two stages of an international flight. The requirement to have this visa is only to nationals from the countries or persons who are not necessarily nationals of those countries but who possess travel documents issued by their authorities. Short-stay Schengen visa (C) Short-stay visa entitles aliens who enter the territory of the Republic of Lithuania, for reasons other than immigration, the duration of which does not exceed three months in any half-year from the date of the first entry. Long-stay national visa (D) Aliens who hold long-stay visas may enter and stay in the Republic of Lithuania over 3 months in accordance with its national legislation. Grounds for D visa: 1. When a foreign student is accepted to study in Lithuanian higher educational institution on Exchange programs or when the scope of studies are 160 hours during half a year (D visa shall be issued for one year). 2. When a foreign student, accepted by a Lithuanian higher educational institution, has submitted application for a temporal residence permit (D visa shall be issued for six month, starting from the day of submitting documents for a residence permit). 2 3. When a foreigner is intending to do educational work or scientifical research at Lithuanian higher educational institutions (D visa shall be issued for one year). 4. When a foreign sportsman or a couch is intending to do professional activities in Lithuania (D visa shall be issued for one year). 5. When a foreign artist is intending to do professional activities in Lithuania (D visa shall be issued for one year). 6. When a foreign seaman is coming to Lithuania, to work on a vessel with Lithuanian flag. (D visa shall be issued for one year). 7. When a foreign seeman is working on board a ship, which is beeing repaired in Lithuania (D visa shall be issued for one year). 8. When a foreiger has been granted a work permit or a residence permit in Lithuania. 9. D visa shall be issued for an alien whose Schengen visa has expired, or he/she overstayed the period of stay in the Republic of Lithuania without visa, yet can not leave the country due to the following reasons: acute illness, any other health disorder or condition of organism precluding the alien's departure from the Republic of Lithuania; professional activities; personal reason, which the alien could not have foreseen and could not avoid its emergence during his/her stay in the Republic of Lithuania being in possession of a visa; force majeure. 10. Other reasons, if an alien submits the documents proving that he/she intends to enter the Republic of Lithuania periodically, while his/her main place of residence is in a foreign state and there is no requirement for an alien to get a temporary residence permit in the Republic of Lithuania. 3 List of supporting documents to be submitted by applicants for short stay visas (Schengen) in China Please note that a Consulate may in justified cases, request additional documents during the examination of an application which are not mentioned in the above harmonized list. The applicant is hereby informed that submitting the above-mentioned documents does not guarantee automatic issuance of a visa. Documents to be submitted upon application for visa: 1. a valid travel document which is issued within previous 10 years, contains at least two blank pages for visas and is valid at least 3 months after the expiration date of the visa; 2. a filled in and signed application form. 3. photo (size 35x45mm) 4. Insurance valid in Schengen countries with a coverage of at least EUR for the entire duration of stay in Schengen area; Applicants for a uniform visa for more than two entries (multiple entries) shall prove that they are in possession of adequate and valid travel medical insurance covering the period of their first intended visit. 5. Travel programme: documents providing clear evidences about the applicant's travel programme (transportation booking, itinerary, etc.) Proof of solvency of the applicant: bank statements from the last 3 months, no deposits account: For employees: a sealed copy of the business licence of the employing company a letter from the employer (in English, or in Chinese with an English translation) on official company paper with stamp, signature, date and clearly mentioning: address, telephone and fax numbers of the employing company the name and position in the employing company of the countersigning officer the name of the applicant, position, salary and years of service approval for leave or absence For retired persons: proof of pension or other regular income For unemployed persons: If married: letter of employment and income of the spouse and notary certificate of marriage, legalised by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. If single/divorced/widow/widower: Any other proof of regular income. 2. 8 name, position, salary and years of employment (only for professionals) confirmation of participation entity that will pay for costs of travel and living copy of business licence (and an English translation) Instructions for ADS Groups According to the MoU between the European Community and the National Tourism Administration of PRC (CNTA) on visa and related issues concerning tourist groups from the PRC (ADS), a Designated by CNTA and Accredited by the Consular Office of a Member State Travel Agency can apply on behalf of a tourist group for the issuance of ADS Visa. The Member State competent for examining and deciding on applications for an ADS visa shall be: (a) the Member State whose territory constitutes the sole destination of the visit. (b) if the visit includes more than one destination, the Member State whose territory constitutes the main destination of the visit in terms of the length of stay. (c) if no main destination can be determined because of equal length of stay in different Member States, the Member State of the first destination. In order to determine the competent Consulate of the Member State (if there are more than one) as well as the place where the application can be lodged, check the web site of the Member State in the Common Information Sheet). An ADS group visa can be obtained if a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 50 Chinese citizens travel together. The maximum duration of stay is 30 days. All participants must be members of the same tourist group and enter, travel through and leave the Schengen Area as a group on a pre-determined itinerary. If there are any changes for the group, the travel agency must report them immediately to the competent Member State. The travel agency must send an authorized person in possession of a valid ADS badge issued by the member states of the Schengen Area to submit the application documents. The Visa Section reserves the right to interview the applicants before issuing the Visa. GENERAL INFORMATION DOCUMENTS CONCERNING THE GROUP PROVIDED BY THE AGENCY Typed name-list in English, on official company paper with the company stamp. The name list must be arranged by the family relationship or work relationship, indicating applicant s full name, date of birth and passport number. The name list has to be handed in with 2 copies (one is for the file, one will be handed back countersigned by the Visa section for the group, one has to be represented for return-control). 1. Flight information for the whole trip between China and Europe, enclosed with valid air ticket reservation. 4. Copy of the official license of the tour leader granted by Chinese Authority is necessary. 5. Confirmation letter of the with name and contact details of incoming tour operator in Europe including name list (same format), detailed itinerary of the entire trip, hotel names and addresses (incl. phone, fax numbers and s), dates and the flight information for the whole trip among the Schengen Area 6. All hotel reservations confirmed (signature + stamp) by the hotels with the details of the bookings. 5. Study agreement from the higher educational institution in Lithuania. 4. Mediation letter from the higher educational institution in Lithuania. 5. Consular fee in cash. 6. Valid health insurance (20,000 litas, cover the duration of your stay). 9

Registration certificate - English version notarial deed (Hukou for Chinese nationals). 10. During interview with a consul, applicants should be able to motivate their intentions to study in Lithuania. WORKING visa D: 1. Completed and signed application in the prescribed form, 1 recent passport photo 35 45mm colourful. 2. A valid travel document (its period of validity must exceed the validity period of the requested visa by at least six months). 3. Documents, providing the grounds for D visa (i.e. an alien has been granted a work permit, or residence permit). 4. Documentary evidence of work experience in a foreign working unit: 1) contract, 2) wage slips, 3) individual income tax certificate. 5. A letter from the foreign working unit with address, telephone and fax of the employer, stamp and signature with name and position of the person who signed, stating: 1) working position, 2) salary, 3) working period. 6. Copy of foreign working unit s registration certificate. 7. Documents, proving professional skills. 8. Educational institutions certificates, diplomas. 9. Mediation letter from the Employer in Lithuania. 10. Consular fee in cash. 11. Valid health insurance (20,000 litas, cover the duration of your stay). 12.
