10 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~--. igrants -- igrants Writer Page 2of3 IRevised TOTAL Title I, Part C Allocation I $0 I I Transferability is a flexibility authority under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) which allows Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) to transfer up to 100% of the funds they receive under Title II, Part A and Title IV, Part A to other programs to better address the needs of their unique student populations and to ensure the capacity of delivering a meaningful program. Requirements for Transferred Funds Transferred funds become funds of the program to which they are transferred and are subject to all the rules and requirements of the programs to which the funds are transferred. Therefore, the transferred funds should be treated as if they were an increase to the initial allocations of this program. Spend transferred funds in accordance with requirements of the receiving program, including statutory set-asides. Regarding Required Set-Asides and Building Allocations If there are required set-asides for this program(s) to which you are transferring funds, the transferred funds need to be applied to the required set-asides for those program(s). For example: If an LEA transfers funding into Title I/ Part A/ it increases its total allocation/ which will increase the amount of funds subject to required set-asides for parental engagement and equitable services to private schools. Please take such set-asides into account below when answering the questions. Question 1: How do transferred funds support the overall goals of this program and your LEA's identified needs? Question 2: To what proposed program activities will these transferred funds be applied? eds.ospi.kl 2. wa. us/i Grants/(S(kjOr 145 5oxvkh345vmfDsm3p) )/WebPages/Grant WriterPages/F ormpage.aspx 9/13/2017
