6 28. Tropical Evergreen Forest: Has hot climate and heavy rainfall throughout the year. Trees do not shed their leaves altogether. So called evergreen forest. A shop keeper has a permanent shop to sell his products. Hawker sells his goods at a cheaper rate than the shop keeper. As the shop keeper has to pay for the shop and it maintenance, also pay wages for the sales persons so he sells his goods at a higher price. Hawker may sell his goods in loose. Shop keeper usually sells well- packaged and branded items. One can bargain with a hawker but not with the shop keeper. Any two points. 2 marks for each point. 3

7 34. Advertisements mislead us. They make us think that only branded products are good. They affect our social value because we judge ourselves and others by the products they use. They make poor man s life seem worthless as they focus mainly on the rich and the famous. They exploit our emotions. Each point 1mark Branding means stamping a product with a particular name or sign. This word came from the practice of branding the cattle in the ranches with a hot iron rod for identification. 2mark It is done to differentiate a product with the other products in the market.
