The University of Virginia s widely monitored Crystal Ball will on Wednesday forecast sweeping setbacks on Capitol Hill and the loss of a clutch of state governorships on November 2. ADVERTISEMENT It follows a Gallup poll that showed the Republicans with a 10 percentage point lead over the Democrats the widest margin in 68 years. Separately, a University of Buffalo paper has predicted a 51-seat gain for Republicans in November. The Democrats have a 39-seat majority in the House of Representatives. Many believe Democratic control of the Senate is also at risk Read Full Story at ft.com» 50 Views Share Story 21 Comments Report Submitted By: Who Also Submitted: All» grammalookit 1 Colin Powell critical of President Obama 10 More House Democrats stressing independence from Pelosi, Obama 10 Constituting America - "We The People" Meet the kids...the Contest Winners of this GREAT enlightenment program! As it stands right now, November is shaping up to be a bloodbath for incumbent Democrats. They have made some really big mistakes and the people are going to let them know about it. Remember when the healthcare bill was going to save a trillion dollars? Now it looks like it will cost a trillion dollars. How do you make a 2 trillion dollar accounting error? The simple answer is, you don't. There were many opponents of the bill screaming that Democrats were using some very interesting accounting "tricks" to make the claims they made. After the bill's passage into law, Democrats came back and recanted all of the lies. DUH. I hope they get voted out. I hope Obama does something good for the country and resigns immediately. Acorns ability to screw things up thankfully was nipped in the bud by good investigative work, thwarting their plans to undermine the 2010 census & corrupt the 2010 elections. The millions Obama & Pelosi wanted to provide them with were taken away by a woken up congress. So ACORN though rightly given blame for shenanigans in the past can hardly be blamed for todays state of affairs! awongscreen 0% Democrats have only themselves to blame if they lost. That is because they do not have the guts to stand firm against the right wing crazies. LOLbama "That is because they do not have the guts to stand firm against the right wing crazies." Is that why they voted party line for the health care fiasco against more than half the country's wishes (who are obviously all right wing crazies). 1 canadianrancher57 This comment is from a Canadian who likes to discuss what is happening down there with Canadian friends up here and most of us know that November is going to be bad for the Democrats, most of us knew that the economy likely couldn't be saved mostly because of a cyclical thing and also because of the global crisis and if people were expecting change in that area they likely would be disappointed. In conversations with people up here the common idea for the upcoming trouble boils down to the economy and health care, with the way that President handled the healthcare issue being seen as maybe more of an issue than the economy. When the President met with Republicans way back before the vote and said that he would consider input from them, many of us up here considered that to be a positive move, and then there is what actually happened, and most of us agreed that the passing of the bill with very little input from the Republicans was a very big mistake. Now if a bunch of Canadians feel this way, it is not to hard to realize how many Americans feel as well. What happened with the healthcare bill was not change and I think that it Pi**ed off a lot of people.
